Lovely old small village pub that serves great food at unbelievable prices. Great value on their special food night's eg. Steak night Thursday, fish night Friday and Sunday roast. They also have entertainment on some weekends
First time eating here and we were not dissapointed. Fantastic sunday dinner with so much food we were fit to burst, plenty of vegetarian food to choose or meat dishes and such a variety and very good price
We had white and red wine and both very nice.
Special nights and events could be seeing us more often.
Excellent traditional style pub.
Food was exceptional.
Everyone was friendly and welcoming.
But best of all dogs are very welcome.
I have been to the Angel Inn several times now for food and drink.
It's a lovely local village pub with charm and character, they sell a great selection of alcohol including proper real ales, lager and spirits.
The food has always been excellent and a great price for what you get.
Sundays the Inn does a roast dinner with a choice of normally one to two selections of meat, plated with plenty of veg, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and even some dauphinois potato. All of this for £10 is a bargain and to make it better you can even order it to take home.
I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.
My wife and I had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Angel today. It is under new management and they seem really keen to understand if we enjoyed the meal and for suggestions for improvements (a nice personal touch). To be honest we couldn’t fault the roast. Big portions and lots of veg and variety.
Walked the Stour Valley trail and called for lunch at the Angel Inn, more by luck than anything else. It was, our lucky day! Two of us had drinks, chips, chicken wings and salt and chilli squid for £20. However, I must say that my general perception is that you get what you pay for so expectations weren't too high. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was absolutely first class. Plenty of it and so very tasty. I would recommend this establishment to everyone. Great food, value for money and great friendly hosts. Top rate pub
We enjoyed a quite extraordinary and generous Sunday lunch. Really good price. Friendly locals, dog friendly, great ale and lager. Set amidst the local community the pub is something of a thriving hub - always plenty coming up in the diary. Spacious of sunny outside seating and a huge marquee. Landlord and Landlady take an interest in visitors, and welcome those from the nearby campsite of Clock House.
We went here for valentine's day and the set meal was lovely. Such good value and the wine was also lovely 💖 the atmosphere was also cosy and friendly will be going again. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Always enjoy visiting, for Ladies Who Lunch, private parties and a drawing class (won't say what we were drawing!)
Lovely little pub, very friendly
