Review The Glenelg Inn Restaurant - Glenelg

A superb pub. Went there on a November lunchtime. There was a roaring log fire and very, very pleasant staff. We had starters and a main course and the food was absolutely gorgeous. The beer looked good but as I was driving, sadly I couldn't partake. The location is absolutely stunning and worth the drive alone. I would return here in a heartbeat for the location, welcome, food and next time to sup the ale. Highly recommended.

Couldn't do anything about the behaviour of other families and their children so can't comment on that but I have to figure this was the best pub visit of the Highland Holiday. A roaring fire, staffed well enough, and pretty good scran - happy days. A proper pint of something local is exactly what the soul needed.

Can't comment on the rooms but this is a brilliant place to visit. The local beer from the Dun Brewing brewery is lovely. The food is mostly locally sourced & is well presented & very tasty. Every member of staff we've encountered has been been really friendly & chatty. They're great with dogs too, even our loud JRT X,Fyxen 🙂. We'd highly recommend a stop off here.

We had a lovely meal and the staff were very friendly. We were blown away with not one, but three vegan options. All sounded incredible! We tried the gnocchi and the vegan burger and they were both beyond expectations. We always struggle with eating out and rarely do so as we know that the options are limited for us so we’re excited for this meal. The view was stunning from the pub and there was a nice fire burning.

Absolutely fantastic place with excellent food. We really enjoyed an evening meal here with our two kids. All the food was high quality and the service was top notch. Gorgeous views out over the loch to Skye. Beware though, bookings can be required in the summer! It might seem a long way from anywhere however it is very popular, and because it is one of the few places to eat, it gets fully booked.

We stayed local, so cant review the rooms. The Inn is a brilliant place to visit, food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and always happy to serve you. I'm looking forward to going back next year.

Had the absolute pleasure of dining here for lunch and dinner on three separate occasions recently whilst holidaying nearby. Firstly, the atmosphere is great, interior warm and cosy, staff friendly & helpful, beer selection ample - hot tip : choose the ones by local brewery Dun Brewing (great range that is organic, vegan and unfiltered). Food menu changes regularly and caters for all - including gluten intolerant, vegetarians and vegans. We’re vegan and cannot recommend the food highly enough, it’s gastro pub quality, well thought out, put together and the end result is phenomenal! The kitchen and bar staff were extremely accommodating of us and our requirements - even allowing us to bring our own vegan wine and charging us a nominal corkage fee to drink on the premises. Overall, an absolute gem of a place that I’d be truly honoured to call my local. Maybe one day…

Stellar pub with cracking food, large comfortable rooms and a rare atmosphere that makes you feel part of the family straight away. Can’t compliment the food enough. It’s solid, honest fare with a delicate touch of both flavour and style. Proper pub grub but well refined. The menu changes every day and there is always lots to tempt. We stayed for a few days and did our best to eat as much as possible. Venison pie was a real highlight. The rooms are comfy with plenty of space. The location is gorgeous, with great views and many interesting sights nearby, especially the brochs. Definitely recommend.

We were warmly welcomed in this small restaurant. The staff is lovely and the different dishes we were able to taste were excellent. The view from the terrace is magnificent. We also enjoyed the musical evenings!

My wife and I only had an hour or so to experience this lovely old Inn before heading off to catch the turntable ferry across to Skye. It's without doubt one of the loveliest settings you could wish for, with superb views across the water to Skye, which combined with the atmospheric interior of the old Inn and the great selection of ales and whisky make it a must place to visit for tourists in this part of Scotland .

I absolutely love this place. It is our 1st time here and we have already fallen in love with it. It is the best view I have ever had from a beer garden. Food was amazing, staff are brilliant. We will definitely be back soon. In fact, it was that good we are going again tonight xx

We had three meals here while spending a week in Glenelg. The food and service was fantastic. I highly recommend! Do try to book ahead if you can for dinner. They squeezed us in on a rainy Monday without a booking, but I'm sure we just lucked out.

Amazing food, Venison burger was probably the best I've ever had! Great staff, really welcoming and it was literally 2 mins from where I was staying. Great atmosphere well worth a visit.

Had dinner here and it was extremely good. Food excellent, service excellent. We had to book as it gets very busy, and allow plenty of time to get there as the road is quite narrow with passing places. You also get some spectacular views on the way if the weather is clear.

Unplanned stop at this wee gem. Staff were very accommodating, service was prompt and very friendly. We sat out in the gardens for drinks before eating and my dog was made very welcome. Oh and the food was amazing!! Would highly recommend a visit if your in the area

Great food, reasonably priced with a nice cosy, casual & friendly feel. I was lucky and got a table as a walk in but it was busy! Really great tucked away location.

Stayed next to the pub for a week. Amazing spot. Close enough to Skye to allow access but far enough away to escape the crowds. Access to the island by Kylerhea ferry a real experience. Good good food.
