The Fettykil Fox

A very warm welcome in a lovely, cosy establishment. Our food was very good quality but items were missing from the plates when they were brought to the table. My husband ordered the turkey meal that was missing the stuffing balls. I ordered the belly pork which was missing the baked apple and scratching. We did mention this to the staff member and the missing items were provided later when we were halfway into the meal. Although everything was delicious, we would have liked the whole meal at the same time and temperature. We definitely will return though as we are fully aware that staff are human and mistakes can happen from time to time.

Four of us came for a late lunch, early tea. The waitress, Sophie, was a lovely young girl who was very attentive, provided us with excellent service, she was very polite and extremely professional. The food was really good and reasonably priced, although we all said it would be nice if they offered a cheese board or sharing platters, but it didnt stop us enjoying the food we ordered. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and will definately be back.

Came for Sunday lunch yesterday, 11 of us in total, to celebrate my parents’ Golden Wedding. Had such a lovely time! The staff were wonderful: friendly, attentive, and great at taking a group-picture (thanks again!) - addressed my nieces (10 and 8) directly when taking their order, rather than asking their parents which I’m sure they really appreciated (even if they got shy and dad had to do the talking!), the table was perfect - managed to fit my Gran’s wheelchair in no trouble at all. The food was delicious - we ordered a fair range of meals and everyone thoroughly enjoyed theirs. I ordered the brie bites, the chicken and pancetta pie of the day and the raspberry posset, which were all lovely! Toilets were nice and clean, and the full length mirror made me look quite tall, so that’s always a plus! Really can’t fault this place. Will be back again soon!
