Amongst the dishes that stood out for us was the devil mutton (slightly tough), the moreish Sri Lankan version of a nasi goreng and the hopper!
Desserts were OK, try the wattalappam, which is a little like a creme caramel/custard flan.
It was our first time trying Sri Lankan food, and Ayubowan was the perfect place to have it! Lovely atmosphere, decorations and ambiance that make you feel you're in Sri Lanka.

It took 40mins before we got the first tapas dish even though it was a quiet Sunday afternoon.
