Lovely place, very friendly proprietors Joanne and James.
A fabulous place to stay whilst taking in the Pennine way. Rooms were much nicer than expected from the photos and the shared facilities were a real bonus. Joanne and James were excellent hosts, providing a great breakfast and were on hand to give advice about the area, especially how not to get lost out on the hills. We could not have been better looked after.
Excellent stay at The Old House made more special by hosts Joanne and James . They were so welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. Comfortable room, posh taxi to the pub and excellent breakfast with a view to die for.
Great B&B. Stayed for 2 nights. Joanne and James very pleasant and helpful hosts. Greeted us on our return from a long walk with hot drinks and even helped book our evening meal in a local pub. Great views all around. Will be returning to Yorkshire Dales and hope to book with them again.
Excellent B&B in an amazing spot. Unfortunately I only stayed one night on a business trip so didn't get a chance to make the most of the surrounding area.
Nice room, a little cold, but that's the only criticism I have! Very friendly and attentive owners, nice breakfast and very reasonable price.
Would like to return when not on business!
Stayed here overnight on a 3 day walk along the Pennine Way from Edale to Hebden Bridge. We arrived about 6.30pm to a warm welcome and a hot drink before being shown to our room. The owners offer a £3pp return ride to the nearest pub so we could enjoy an evening meal after a long day. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious. And during our second day walking I lost some money and my bank card (perils of cold fingers and pockets). Some walkers who had stayed in this B&B found and returned it and joanne called me to tell me she would pop it in the post back to me. Both Joanne and James were welcoming, friendly and fun to chat too and we would highly recommend a stay here and would love to come back again
We are a group of 8 Pennine Way walkers and this was the perfect place to stay after the long trek from Edale. Joanne and James could not have made us more comfortable. From large pots of tea on arrival to assistance with drying our clothes, nothing was too much trouble. A lovely stay in a very pretty setting.
Great B&B if you're walking the Penine way! Exactly what you need, on the route and very friendly! Sunset from the terrace is lovely.
They will drive you to a pub nearby for dinner and do a great breakfast :)
Great location for the PW. Lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful.

Great B&B, gave us lift to pub after the Pennine way walk from Eadale. Lovely clean facilities with awesome view of the reservoir. Would recommend
