The Coal House Inn - Gloucester - Photo album

We thought it was closed when we arrived but it was just very quiet. The lovely landlady allowed our dog in and cooked a delicious lunch freshly just for us. Mysteriously the cellar was closed so only bottled drinks but my Tribute was just fine. Not sure why it wasn’t busy on a Saturday lunchtime…
Awesome place!! The food is fantastic - I can recommend the slow cooked beef brisket; the beers are well kept - certainly all the 'Tributes' I tested were; And Steve and Dodger create a great, friendly atmosphere. And we came home with fresh duck eggs that are available from the bar!!! [Update - 21
cosy riverside pub. very welcoming and friendly staff. excellent food. Barman knows his trade, especially gins. efficient service. Advance booking essential, only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and often fully booked.

First time visiting due to recommendation. Food was just brilliant, the pork belly was the size of my forearm! value for money is great! the atmosphere was your usual local pub, hustling and bustling! the manager has great charisma about him and very chatty and welcoming! wouldn't hesitate to visit

We were on a long walk from Tewkesbury. Lovely pub but beware it's not always open and only had a choice of bottled beer. Landlady very nice 👩🏾
Amazing place and amazing food. Steak on the stone was most amazing steak I’ve ever tasted. Host was second to none - and even his shetland pony made an appearance! Will be coming back again soon! Make sure you book in advance as it is popular and like animals roaming around the place - personally I
Delicious food that was very filling and a great setting for a meal. Hosting was one of a kind and they made us feel very welcome. The whole evening was faultless and would definitely go again!
