Well worth a visit. The burger was very tasty, as were the chips. My wife, who is dairy intolerant, was well catered for. The staff were very attentive and ensured the intolerance was noted to the chefs. She had a burger with a sourdough roll. Great atmosphere with fantastic staff. Very tasty food at a very good price. They also serve Bath Ales Dark Side on draught, which is a huge bonus. Will definitely be returning.
Ssshhh! Please don't tel anyone about this place; I want it to be my secret. On a three-day break in Gloucester, dropped in early Tuesday morning for breakfast & coffee. Pancakes, maple syrup & bacon was lovely, coffee was just superb. They even know how to prepare a proper soy latte (not using sweetened soy milk).
Met up with friends there later, lovely friendly & comfy.
When we needed lunch today, there was only one place to choose. Despite being incredibly busy, and our various dietary quirks, everyone was cheerful and friendly. The food was absolutely first class.
I can't recommend this place highly enough. But like I said, don't tell anyone........
On a Friday evening they were more than happy for us to reserve a table down stairs, when they don't usally allow reservations (after explaining that I use a wheelchair then running the risk of having not the space downstairs to accommodate our group)the variety of food on the menu was fantastic catering for all tastes as well as gf and vegan. The food itself took about 25mins which was made up for by the tasty and well sized portions, all meals and sides for our group were out within a couple of minutes of each other and all requests for condiments met. All staff were friendly and helpful asking after our meals or if we needed anything else. On another point there was plenty of non alcoholic drinks for the driver's in the group to choose from which makes a change from cola or lemonade. Thank you for helping make a birthday get together enjoyable for our whole group
Love the quirkiness of this place, but food also very good. Went for brunch with the family. Child and dog friendly. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere, friendly efficient service. Went for lunch and can thoroughly recommend the Bang Bang Noodles! Varied menu available so should be something there for everyone.
Been here loads before but this was the first time with our puppy. We had heard it was a dog friendly place. We had a lovely time. The staff fussed over the puppy giving him treats and a bowl of water. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely friendly staff. Food and service excellent 😊
I had the falafel burger with fries (Vegan) and really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly. I chose to eat there because of their Vegan menu. I was not disappointed. I will definitely return.
I love it there. Staff real friendly this time I had their Tapas of the menu yum yum yum . Staff accomadating. Tried a lil cider before buying. A relaxing athosmphere. One of my favourite places to have a drink .
I had the smoked haddock fish cake. It was gorgeous but I feel it needed fries to make it a more substantial meal for the price being charged. I will definitely return because of the vegan menu for my sister and because the staff were really friendly and relaxed.
Love Portivo Lounge ❤️ our favourite hang out and partial to quizzing on a Sunday. If you haven't been its a must. Staff are lovely, dogs are welcomed, you can have a cake and coffee, a glass of wine or a full meal with lots of dietary options
Love this place .... always great for a catch up with friends.... Tuesday Tapas night... can’t beat it!
This is my 2nd visit here. The food as been amazing on both occasions. Great choice of meals and drinks on the menu.
Staff are great and a good atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend coming here as a group or couple.
Order using QR code... Was sitting on second floor away from bar so a much preferable option also no risk of losing table in absence. Very easy to use with your smartphone. Pay on ordering. Cocktail arrived quickly and food reasonably prompt after. Cherry vanilla martini first time trying definitely having it again. Great taste and perfect serve. For food..Lebanese falafel flatbread. Good size but if you extremely hungry chips are suggested as a side order . I added a little mayonnaise to dress it. Think it a new menu item and a great dish.
Good food, friendly & attentive service and reasonably priced. This is our preferred place to get lunch at Glos Quays.
During busier times there may be a 30 - 40 minute wait for food, but they do advise you of this at the time.
Turned up without a booking for 3 of us, was busy, but we weren't treated like a problem. Sat down, decent and varied menu at a higher price, but is priced correctly for the quality. Perfect food presentation, and perfectly cooked. Really was great here. Would recommend if you are in the Quays/Docks area.
Drinks came really quick after ordering, food took quite a while. I had pancakes that were nice, the OH had the breakfast that wasn't too hot, more lukewarm. Nice atmosphere though, with friendly staff and I like that you can still order at your table via QR code
It was our first time here, and I had the Nasi Goreng. As a Malaysian, I approved of this dish; it tasted very similar to home.
Love Portivo - always happy, friendly service- and great for our fur baby- who gets lots of fuss!

Had a really good time here. Staff were brilliant, as after I'd ordered and we'd waited a while they came over to let me know they'd run out of what I'd ordered. They were very apologetic, and offered me a refund for my original order, plus free drinks for me and my companion, and no extra charge for ordering something. I still rate it highly as they gave incredible service and the food was delicious
Good breakfast, but definitely had much better for £11. Sausages didn't have much flavour to them.
Delicious Brunch & Coffee. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed an evening meal here at the weekend with my family. Really good choice of food options. Beautiful location. Upstairs seating also available with some window tables overlooking the quay. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed the halloumi burger.
The food is brilliant, especially for vegetarians. Service I can't fault.
My only criticism is the music was too loud which meant conversation was difficult.
All it needs is just a touch quieter. I love background music but not that much
Enjoyed lunch at Portivo Lounge. Usually, they say there is a 40min wait for food but not this time! Good service. Had the fish finger sandwich which was tasty. Good atmosphere.
Amazing atmosphere, Friendly, hardworking and welcoming staff, special shout out to a lady with brown hair, who wore a grey printed top with a rose design (i think?) 10pm saturday 12th August and it was her first time ever making a “Betty Blue” cocktail which was amazing. She was superb at customer service and she had a smile on her face all evening which made the experience a lot better. Would recommend and will be coming in again.
We had a fantastic meal here.
The staff were polite and welcoming, the food was perfect(we had tapas)
No need to book, just turn up.
You can order in your phone or go to the bar and order.
As it started raining we looked for somewhere inside where we could take our 2 dogs-was made to feel most welcome here. Great food. Great service. Very dog friendly. Tapas are excellent. Couldn't fault anything about Portivo. Staff were brilliant. Would definitely recommend
I had a meal here with my family on a Friday lunchtime. We hadn’t booked but there was plenty of space for us. The food is ordered via an app or at the bar and the service was quick and friendly. I had a bacon and cheeseburger which was the best burger I have had for years. At £13 including fresh coleslaw and either chips or salad it was good value. Given the quality of the food, I’m surprised the restaurant wasn’t packed. Highly recommend!
