Sat in for dinner.
The food was delicious. Lamb cooked to perfection. The mash potatoes lovely and creamy, the carrot suede mash was also great. Lots of food on the plate 🍽 😋. Can't possibly grumble. Top Sunday dinner.

Lunch in the George today with old friends for a catch up.
Had the Tapas.....which isn't usually available during the week but Cassie heard my friend and I talking about it and said let me go see if it is available for you.
Nothing is ever too much trouble the staff are great........ anyway the Tapas was available. So my friend and I both had 5 dishes each, it was absolutely delicious, served with crusty bread. There is plenty of choice and at a great price, a lovely enjoyable afternoon and well looked after by Cassie and Kim and all the staff working this afternoon.

Ordered a hanging kebab from a chain restaurant which had dry chicken.
Ordered the same dish from here and devoured the lot, it was absolutely delicious, the chips were delicious too.
Loved the old school music on TV too.

Really friendly local pub, good pub grub, welcoming atmosphere, was showing the 6 Nations on a big screen which is what we went for and were not disappointed at all but the food, staff or atmosphere.

Went to the old George Goole today for mums 96th birthday. We had a two.course Christmas 🎄 meal which was superb. We couldn't fault it. The staff are really good I asked them if they had a candle for mum's Xmas pudding and it came out candle lit and they all sang happy.birttday to mum we couldn't fault it. Really good. Had a lovely meal, cooked to order, wine was good, shame no real ale🍻 and the chairs like in a lot of the local pubs are heavy to move , if I was giving stars for the food it would be 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very friendly and attentive staff. The Sunday lunch was great. The veg was cooked just right, the beef fell apart, the lamb was very good and there was lots of it. Very good value for money, thank you very much.

Wow! The Old George is very unassuming from the outside, but when we went in there was a lovely set up and dining space. There was plenty of choice on the menu and when we ordered our food (a mega burger with lots of options and a vegetable curry) I can honestly say that it was one of the best meals we've had in a long time and we eat out regularly. A fantastic find, with lovely staff that we will definitely be visiting again soon.
