Toby Carvery Captain Manby - Gorleston-on-Sea - Photo album

I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and wanted to share my feedback, specifically regarding the service provided. Firstly, it's worth noting that there is a queue for the carvery on Sundays, which can be somewhat lengthy, ranging from approximately 20 to 30 minutes. However, I found
Firstly, great carvery and lovely helpful staff, yes a little wait but well worth it! Secondly, well done to the staff who had to deal with the rudest customer in front of us! Even her family was embarrassed! Thought the staff handled her superbly, whereas I would’ve just chucked her out 😁 had brea
Well the carvery was awesome as usual except for the sliced potatoes which were slightly undercooked. The pudding I had was not nice and I could not finish it, the Yorkshire mint ice cream, the bottom was very oily and it was served in a bowl which was so hard to eat as I couldn't cut the Yorkshir
The food quail it was amazing, great selection of meats that were tasty and tender, all the veg you could want and crispy roasties. The meal was perfect. The queue for the carvery was long and slow moving, waiting about 15 mins to be served. Because of this my drink had been sitting at the table for
It was to celebrate my hubby's 60th. They placed our balloon on the table before arrived. The service was great, she took pictures for us. The food as ever was lovely. We will be back very soon.
Seated fairly quickly. Queue for carvery was very long ( probably due to the £5 offer ). Slightly disappointed with the amount and choice of vegetables but roasted potatoes still excellent. Was hoping for the boiled onions, a favourite of ours.
Came in on a Tuesday and they were fully booked but the manager was able to sit us down on the bar section after we ordered on the bar. The bar girl (I think her name was Gaby) was lovely and served us straight away despite being busy. The food was amazing aside the beef but our waitress Rojda dealt
I recently visited the gorleston branch for the first time in a long time and I have to say I will be returning again soon. The food was delicious, hot and a very good variety. The staff was super helpful and nothing seemed to be too much for them. The atmosphere was relaxed but the service was 5/5.
Good pub carvery. Everything cooked thoroughly. Most staff had hospitable service, some have had enough for the day. Cheaply priced food and even cheaper with vouchers. Sat quickly around 1pm. Fairly busy considering a Monday. Good all round. 05.06.2023
Had a fantastic roast here while on holiday ! Pleasantly surprised to see dumplings in gravy on the veg deck as our local Toby does not offer this ! The yorkies were massive and very well cooked and the price is fantastic . We were a family of 7 very well fed for £50! Staff members were very friendl
While the food was great the gravy was like warm, waited for new gravy and again like warm. There was a queue too. Sadly not a great meal after all.
Great from start to finish..We were a party of 6, quickly shown to our table, and drinks order taken..Luckily que for carvery was short when we went up, (but was massive when we left). We all had a mixture of meat, but everyone loved their meal, personally, we will be back ASAP, it was delicious. Ja
The restaurant was very busy which is good sign to me, the food was really nice and tasty. The Vegetables were cooked just right and so was the meat, our waiter was very friendly and polite and was really helpful. Could you improve on the captain Manby ? No it's perfect as it is
The drinks were good. There was quite a queue at the drinks machine though. I thought the food was ok. It must be difficult to cater for that many people at once. But the staff were really friendly and despite it being rammed the place was clean
I last ate here over 10yrs ago. I hadn’t been back in so long as I found the food to be terrible. My Nan wanted to visit, and she likes to eat early, so we came at 12pm on a Sunday. Very easy to place our order at the bar (we chose to sit outside as we had her dog with us) although we were confuse
