Kai Smokehouse

Large kitchen but not many covers, perhaps seating for twenty. Nonetheless am extremely entertaining venue, great cooked food and a fairly decent price. Three cocktails, one bottle of wine, starters, mains and desserts for the people £107 before adding tip. Staff were keen and friendly, for was served promptly and cocktails were delicious. My BBQ ribs with sweet potatoes were so nice I can't give them anything less than five stars. Will definitely come here again next time I'm in Scotland.

Recently got a takeaway from here and wasn't disappointed! When you call to place your order they ask you what time you want your food to be ready for rather than the other way around which I loved. Pickup was quick and easy. Great prices and high quality food! Inside the restaurant looks super modern and stylish so will have to try a sit down meal here soon. We had the full rack of ribs and beef brisket meals, along with onion rings & mac&cheese. Everything was delicious and we have been talking about this place ever since!

A really good place to eat, comfortable, modern surroundings with very good and friendly service. The only downside, and the reason it didn't get 5 stars, was because the Brisket didn't quite live up to expectations. When it arrived, it looked on the dry side (see photo) and was dry to eat too. It was very tender, but meat cooked like it was, is supposed to be succulent and juicy. The fries were very nice, but I think the salad could be a bit more inventive, just slightly spoiled the Presentation.

Without a doubt the best restaurant in Inverclyde! From the service to the food, the whole setting has a real family feel. The feed is just incredible, we have had several sit in meals and take away. Both were outstanding. The brisket and rack of ribs are mouthwatering and do not disappoint. Equally, if you have space, the deserts are so tasty. Highly recommended you give Kai a try.

Enjoyed my tea, but would have liked a bit more salad with my halloumi and chips. The Firecracker sauce is fab! I am glad they have a mirror in the disabled toilet -lots of places don't. A decent hand dryer would be great though. I know this place is new. I hope they increase the menu as they get more established and add in more veggie mains.
