The Blue Ball Inn - Grantchester - Photo album

Wow, came here for the first time this past weekend on a sunny day and the experience was phenomenal. Adorable little restaurant and their lentil soup was among the best I’ve ever had. Seriously delicious. I was skeptical this place could live up to its very high ratings but it definitely does, and
This is a real unspoilt gem which we only recently discovered after a walk across Grantchester meadows. The owners are really lovely and welcoming which is always appreciated. We sat out the back in what was a beautifully ornate beer garden decorated with all manner of gorgeous hanging baskets. It t
Really nice traditional pub with a gorgeous little garden out the back. As it was a hot day we sat outside and had a cold lunch which was fresh and tasty. The salad was just as if it had been freshly picked! Staff are welcoming - will definitely be back when we are in the area.
Lovely lovely pub with simple yet delightful food! Staff were welcoming, and the customers there were all very friendly and kind as well... when we were deciding to go in or not in front of the place, one of the regular customer (I suppose) told us there is a nice beer garden at the back of the inn
Lovely little pub - the staff were extremely welcoming, the food was very delicious and the prices were reasonable. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, so expect to drive along the country road looking for a parking spot and walk back towards the pub! Great little location - there's a small hiking t
Hidden gem at cycling distance from Cambridge. Two small gardens, the front one is very quaint. Worth a detour! A calm oasis hidden in nature. Good selection of casks.
Stopped here for lunch. Ate in their beautiful garden. Food was delicious, service friendly. And you might bump into some stars from the TV show Grantchester.
Lovely pub that makes a walk to Grantchester even better. Great service, lovely beer garden, delicious food!
Great local pub. Can fill up in peak times. Excellent atmosphere.
Fantastic pub. We walked along the river from Cambridge and stopped for lunch - it’s located right along the walking track. Great food and ambience. Lots of seating in the beer garden outside. We didn’t have a dog, but there were lots of people with them!
Love this little pub, It's absolutely perfect!! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is lovely with reasonable prices . My husband loved the beer choices, so it's definitely worth a visit for a traditional country pub experience! There isn't anything not to like about it!
The best pub in Grantchester, no question. Great food at a great price, with very friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. You can't book ahead but I've never had a problem getting a table. Would particularly recommend the garden out back in summer time. Definitely a firm favourite!
Dec 2022 A very warm welcome from the owners and staff at the pub. Food and drinks were fantastic. Our room had great views across a snowy meadow and within easy walking distance of Cambridge. Will be going again 👌🏾
Such a quirky, cosy, welcoming place. Fire on, great music, fun bar attendants. A lovely couple of hours spent 👍 Did not succeed in the swing game but fun to try 🤗
This is a great pub with excellent home cooked food. We use as in close proximity to Cambridge hospital. Lovely gardens and log fire inside in colder weather. Very friendly helpful staff.
Great place to stop after a good trip around the village. Friendly staff, excellent food, decently priced and well kept beer. Unobtrusive music in background, very pleasant environment. A bit like pubs used to be. Well worth a visit.
Very lovely countryside pub. Right on the edge of Grantchester with lovely surroundings and good food and drink.
A lovely pub at a great location. Delicious food and excellent service.
