Came across this place quite by chance at the time they were very busy but the gentleman let us eat at the bar as we we vey hungry. The food when it arrived was fantastic the portions were a good size and choice was good, even better offered a gluten free meal which my husband enjoyed very much, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for a lovely meal and great atmosphere. Hopefully we will come back
What a place Paul is the host with the most...the beer cider and whisky selection are fantastic and the food is brilliant, its hearty home cooked and super tasty we worked our way through the menu over a few visits and it never disappointed...a really gem, highly recommend
What a fantastic, friendly place. We had steak pie, mash and veg. The portions were fantastic, tasted delicious too. We were half way through our meal when we spotted two advertisements, one for Haggis Lasagne which we're definitely going to try on our next visit. The other was for chocolate cake and ice cream which I settled for. My husband settled for Angels Nectar Whiskey 😂😂😂 Paul is so friendly and informative. He chatted away offering advice on his vast knowledge of beers and whiskies. The couple sitting at the next table were local and regular diners and also made us welcome.
Highly recommended for hospitality and food. Many thanks for a great time and apologies for staying beyond closing time.
First time visiting tonight and we will be back. Food was fantastic and plentiful( had to get doggy bags for our daughters). An excellent menu with lots to choose from and a great selection for our daughter who is gluten free.
A great wee place with good, honest, tasty food, a fantastic selection of beers, ciders, malt whiskies and more. Never disappointed whenever we eat here and have always experienced excellent service and a warm welcome . This is a great choice for eating out in Grantown.
Best food I've had great food and staff! The courses looked as good as they tasted. Quick service for such a busy place.
Lovely little restaurant, food was excellent and service was also excellent. It was very busy but didn't show with service and food.would recommend booking if at weekend. Will be back to eat here.

On vacation we found this wonderful restaurant with delicious vegetarian options, reasonable prices, and friendly and helpful service!!! Paul, your vegetarian haggis helped power me through the Loch Ness Marathon! :)
Had a lovely meal for a family party..staff were so friendly and welcoming..definitely be visiting when back at summer
This place is amazing...... highly recomend it. Great food and fabby staff. If you are ever up in grantown on spey the wee puffin is a must x
nice staff and delicious food. a very cozy place, especially for puffin lovers ;)
Welcoming staff, superb home-cooked food, local & craft ales and a comprehensive malt whisky selection. I'd be amazed if there were a better dining/drinking experience in northern Scotland.

Fab food, excellent value, good menu, and very friendly staff, will certainly be back
We were happy to be there. We were so lucky to have a table since we didn't make any reservations. It was always full.
Glad that no puffins were hurt when they prepared the menu.
The food was delicious. We had lasagna and smoked haddock fish cake - quality!
Had the best cocktails ever - served by the two delightful lassies (am I allowed to use that term?).
The Wee Puffin is a great asset to Grantown, serving honest food at an honest price. It would be very strange indeed if anyone found any fault at this eatery,
We came In late after a large party, but we were seated quickly.
The service was great even with it being busy.
We ordered the fish and chips and the chicken strips. The food was delivered hot and fresh.
Big portions, great value. It was delicious. Could not eat it all.
The desserts I saw being delivered to the larger party looked great but we were too full to order our own.
We will be back!
Highly recommend.
It's small and very busy so make a reservation!
We were able to book a table quite last minute and we were really impressed with our visit.
It's a small, cosy venue with a great selection of cocktails, beers and whiskey and the menu catered very well for both adults and children.
The staff were attentive and the prices really reasonable - we will definitely be returning.
Food was amazing, puffin balls, curry, lasagne and steak pie were delicious. Very large whiskey selection, and lots of delicious meals on the menu. Waitresses were very friendly. Also a plus, very dog friendly, even offered a water bowl. Will definitely come again. 👍
Very pleased to have found the Puffin.
I had the wee Puffin burger, superb. My wife had the fish n chips. Both delighted.
Good food cooked to order, great service and a nice atmosphere.
What a lovely little restaurant... The staff is so very friendly and helpful. Kudos to the team and the kitchen.
Burger and chips were tasteful and not overly fatty. I would certainly recommend those. The curry was a bit less to our tasting but that is of course very subjective. So just note that nothing was wrong with it and maybe it is exactly how you like it. The steak & ale pie looked amazing on the tables next to us ;-).
You will certainly find something to your liking! And it has a nice buzzing atmosphere. 100% recommend.
Suggestion: maybe fresh or higher quality sauces like fresh mayo or tartar sauce would elevate the experience even further. Sauces from little bags are really not very nice.
Small family run restaurant serving generous portions of quality, delicious freshly cooked food. Menu and specials board catered for all tastes. The chicken goujons were gorgeous. Be sure you leave some room for one of their scrumptious desserts. Sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce and ice cream went down a treat.
There is also an extensive drinks list, a we'll stocked bar, with some unique craft offerings.
Cannot fault the welcoming, friendly staff who provided a first class service throughout. Definitely a return visit is in order.
We had a nice meal at Wee Puffin during our stay in late June. The menu provides lots of options and all the dishes are freshly prepared.
We went for the Homemade Chicken Curry and Veggie haggis with neeps and tatties, which were both delicious.
Good service, reasonable prices and excellent drinks menu, which including some interesting local beers / ales.
Delicious good quality food with good and friendly service
Cosy quirky and cool decor
Great choice on menu (but not ov erdone, just right!)
Great selection of beers ,Gin & whiskies
We are returning tomorrow !!😋
Both our meals were amazing my bacon and cheese burger with chips and the teriyaki chicken burger was 10 or of 10 the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake were fantastic , the staff were lovely can’t wait to go back to the Wee Puffin 🥰
A popular eating place but only open between 5 and 9pm. Therefore, it is best to book in advance. Food is very good and the variety of drinks available is excellent.
Really friendly staff. Tasty good value food and a brilliant whiskey selection. I had the Highland Park 15yr old Fire Edition. £11.90 a dram.
The best meal I've had during my trip to Grantown and the surrounding areas. Staff and service are great and the food/drink is even better. The hungry puffin burger is fantastic but only if you've got a huge appetite. Can also recommend the steak and ale pie! Will be coming back whenever I get the chance.
Great beer menu. Good variety of Scottish food on the menu. Nice atmosphere. Good efficient service.
