The Glass House Cafe - Grasmere - Photo album

A tea garden located in one of the busiest parts of the village with an outside terrace by the river overlooking the Oswald Church. That's why they seemed to always be very busy and full. It would be a perfect place to take a break or quick bite to eat if they could improve their food. The sandwiche
One of the best spot to enjoy your coffee and a sandwich. They have a really cute outdoor space right on the river with a view of the church and a bridge. Food was average, however staff is really helpful and service is quick.
Lovely place at a great spot in grasmere to have drink. I really enjoyed the banana milkshake and apple pie.
Nice little cafe with a great riverside terrace. We opted to sit inside the spacious and airy dining area to stay warm but the terrace was still busy and I can imagine is an amazing place to stop for lunch in the nice weather. We were greeted quickly at the door and chose our table. After ordering
We just had cups of tea, but really nice little place and the outdoor garden/ terrace bit was sublime. Unless you have a fear of birds. Those Jackdaws are voracious. They will not take no for an answer.
We had the mozzarella paniek and my daughter had the scone. She thought it was the best scone she had in the holiday. The paninis were nice and the service very fast. Food and drink is really affordable.
Came here with my partner's family for a quick bite for lunch. I had the jacket potato with the homemade chilli and some cheese. It was lovely, jacket potato was cooked well and the chilli was delicious with a nice kick. It also came with homemade coleslaw which was nice. My partner and her family h
Absolutely loved the place, is located so nicely beside a river which makes it more enjoyable having a quick bite and drink in the garden. The staff is very nice and welcoming, the food and drinks are very good as well and not expensive either. If your travels take you to Grasmere have a stop and yo
Nice little place to grab a hot drink or bite to eat. Has a mixture of sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and some sweet foods. Nice little outdoor seating area too with views of the stream. They also sell some beers.
Nice place for breakfast or lunch. Sitting next to river, beautiful. Very soft toast and bacon baked to the perfection. Definitely recommend
The tea gardens have a lovely, heated outdoor terrace beside the river with great views across to St Oswald's church and the graveyard where Wordsworth is buried. The service was friendly and quick, and the food very tasty if not a bit pricey. I'd definitely recommend it as a pleasant place to take
HIGH FORCE WATERFALLS...TEESDALE. ( not Grasmere) Absolutely great day out for all ages. 😁 Walked to top of falls both sides, you can feel the water spray on your face & a walk down bottom falls too. πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘
Superb polite smart friendly staff, prices are high end of normal for the area but good location and choice of indoor and outdoor seating.
Went in here with my daughter while waiting for the bus. Staff were immediately helpful and found us a table. We had a window view of the river out the back. My daughter got the ice cream which tasted lovely, I got an americano coffee. Came to a fiver which I thought was a good price. I had a nice e
The view was worth it all! Such a warm and cosy environment. We ordered the ginger cake, this tasted good but could've been more fresh. Cannot wait to visit this place again and try out new food/drink from the menu.
