The Stripey Badger Bookshop, Coffee Shop & Kitchen - Grassington - Photo album

As soon as we walked in to the cafe we were warmly welcomed. The food which was delicious arrived very quickly and we had lovely tea out of china cups and teapot - absolutely charming. This is a gem in the Yorkshire dales and we will return.
I had a lovely ploughman's lunch and mocha today. It was such a pleasant location and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Afterwards, I had a browse around the bookshop and bought a novel for my holiday reading. I really recommend a visit if you happen to be in the village.
Love the bookshop and the cafe is fab!!!! An easy way to while away a couple of hours. Go in the bookshop, buy a good book then go in the cafe and buy all the brews and cake you desire while you read your book.
Great book shop and cafe. Lovely staff too. Highly recommended. The tea loaf and chocolate orange cake are superb.
Great pair of linked businesses with added interest of being a film location (exterior) for "All creatures great and small". Situated in lovely Grassington which is worth a visit for itself and the TV connection.
A very good café,. I would highly recommend it if your in the area! They have so many choice for cakes and do also offer gluten free options! I can personally recommend the chocolate orange cake and the scones from my experience! The staff are very friendly and welcoming! There is outside seating av
Nice little book shop. There is a cafe just next door with selection of cold and hot drinks as well as snacks. Perfect for a pit stop whilst walking around the village.
Went into this dog friendly cafe today. I had the ploughman's.... WOW what a ploughman's it was. Best one I have had in a very long time. Hubby had the cooked breakfast which he said was lovely. Neville the cocker spaniel was also spoilt rotten with treats too! Highly recommended 👌
Just had afternoon tea for my wifes 70th and our 50th anniversary. 20 guests catered for must have been enough for 30 Jacqui and her staff were fantastic. The food was absolutely fantastic and big variety sndwiches cooked meat pies quich cakes scones trifles posits ect it just went on and on. If you
Nice place for something to eat. Service was good.
What a beautiful little place within walking distance of the Grassington Nature Reserve We were staying in the area and happened across this lovely cosy place as we did the walking loop. Didn't get a chance to spend time in the bookshop, though enjoyed lunch sitting in the cafe. The staff are frien
This was categorically THE BEST afternoon tea I have ever had. The ambience, decor, and friendliness experienced in The Stripey Badger was wonderful. The staff were very attentive, well presented, and couldn't do enough for us. Whilst it is a popular place, and for those that watch All creatures
Great small cafe. Very friendly staff. Fresh food, clean and tidy. Would recommend!
We enjoyed our shopping experience thoroughly and purchased some great books on the recommendation of Lindsay - who was an absolute delight. (and an Anne of Green Gables fan like myself!) It was wonderful to see an independent bookstore thriving in the community! 🇨🇦
Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious carrot cake. Very generous teapot for two. A pleasant, unpretentious ambiance. Highly recommended.
Ordered some coffees. Lovely and hot, quick service and a cosy spot away from the rain.
The staff at Stripey Badger are always really friendly (but not pushy) and actually knowledgeable about their stock. The books they have are always modern and interesting, not just the generic classics. We were served this morning by a lovely person who made my shopping experience wonderful!
