Chris's Fish & Chips

This shop is conveniently located but a stones throw away from Chafford Hundred C2C train station. There is free parking for customers at the rear of the shop, so can order and pick up the food. There are double yellow lines at the front of the shop. The previous owners of the shop used to take pride in selling line caught or trawler caught fish, rather than farmed fish. I assume the new owners do the same. It would be good if they confirm this on the reply to this post. We sometimes place our order by phone and go and collect it at the shop. Other times I go and order it at the shop and wait for it to be cooked. My order always consists of large and regular cod, 2 portions of cod bites all cooked with thin batter plus chip, all cooked very well done. I done mind the longer wait whilst they are doimg this. The chef, who's staple diet is fish, cooks these for me to perfection. I got this cooked yesterday, very early evening. It was perfect 👌, so thank you Bhai, especially on indipendence day. Please be aware, this shop only accepts cash. If you want to pay by card, you have to use one of the delivery Food apps. The prices are a lot higher than they were pre covid but that is that. On the plus side, the big plus, fish and chips are cooked to order there and then and not served to you from something that has already be cooked ans sitting there vegitating, so this way it is never stale. Definitely worth a visit. For us, this is the best local Fish and Chips take away establishment. Recommended 🎈

Discovered this place, because I was in mood for fish and chips. But they have a full rack of pork ribs for £10, which is a great price ( at least to me). Ribs were great. I got the small chips, but way too much for me to finish. Staff very friendly. Place is cash only, no card. That was my only problem, but there is ATM at nearby Tesco Express.

This is by far my favourite fish amd chip place. The food is great quality, the fish is amazing. Personally the Jack Daniels ribs are my favourite. How could i pass down a FULL rack of ribs for only £7.50?! The atmosphere is welcoming, its modern inside and the staff are always welcoming and friendly.
