Our first trip to a M&C together, my OH who will now be known as QD (Queen of Delivery) has been previously, and with the very attentive Georgie serving us we had an amazing early evening tea.
We chose the sharing ' Côte de boeuf' and with my preference of temperature being blue, I was overwhelmed when QD agreed to have it blue too! How canny of her.
The hunka chunka burning meat was cooked exactly how I like it and QD decoured every morsel I cut from the slab for her. She loved the cave man craic like.
We both agree the camembert mash was ever so moreish, seeing as we (me) ordered an extra portion, but howay, it was barii.
The prawns could have done with being left in the sea to grow for a bit as they wouldn't have looked out of place in a prawn cocktail from the 70's.
Speaking of cocktails, the mojitos were absolutely lush, QD preferred the original over her elderflower cordial version.
To cap the night right off, we opted for the mini desserts with cocktails.. . Just enough to diminish the sweet after savoury cravings, and the espresso martini which washed it doon was bloody lovely.

Edit #2 QD and I have rekindled our love! We are back together, now let's hope the paddle steamer is resurrected as QD and I will be the first their doors! (August '23)

Shannon was brilliant tonight, she was so pleasant and patient. She was warm and kind and served with such grace. I asked to have my steak well done and I had to get it back to the chef and she did this so calmly and politely at all times. An absolute treasure to the establishment.

Went on a Sunday for family dinner. Ordered from the Sunday set menu which was 3 courses. Drinks extra. Food was good and cooked to our requirements.
Attentive staff. Overall a nice meal out and we would go again.

25th July 2019: What amazing food, brilliant and such a great atmosphere!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures because our food looked so yummy we couldn't wait but we are definitely coming back here again soon and our waitress, Danni was just absolutely amazing and always helpful, and she was very smiley :)
22nd September 2019: We managed to get pictures this time just before we could demolish our yummy food yet again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was our 2 year anniversary and it was the same great feel as the first time we visited. We would definitely recommend and we will be again very back soon 😁

Lovely family meal at Lakeside. These dishes are from Sunday set menu. Buttermilk chicken, 12oz steak and rack of ribs. Great service, nice food and friendly place.

Visited on Sunday 6th March with my partner. Had 100 gift card as a present so only had to pay an extra 20.90 as a top up. Carl was our waiter and he was brilliant and he said it was only his 3rd day. Credit to him he was very good and professional

Great service and very clean. We had our two year old daughter with us and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to her and her needs. The food was delicious as always and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

It was my first time coming to a Miller and Carter and I was very happy with my visit. We had 2 servers (Becky and Agata) as our first server's shift finished in the middle of our meal. Both Becky and Agata were extremely friendly and attentive. Dennis, who brought us out our drinks was also very friendly. Please pass on my compliments to all three of them as well as the Chefs in the kitchen.
The food was lovely, had the Sunday set menu which was a great price for what you got. Steak was cooked well, I don't like my steak to have much pink in it, and the chef got it just right! The brownie was delicious and so was the chicken starter.

Had a great experience. Duck starters, lobster mac and cheese and rib eye was lovely. Leave out that fat dripping butter though off the menu. Other than that, a lovely meal spent with my family for my birthday and the service was brilliant all round from all the staff, especially Joe who brought a cheery and an attentive attitude to put everybody happy and at ease

We came last night for our belated Christmas party. There was 18 of us and we booked last minute (sorry) on the morning of and were welcomed happily. Our table was laid out with plenty of space.
Our food was immaculate and delicious (we each had two courses). Our cocktails and mocktails were tasty and well presented. Everything happened in a great symphony - our food all arrived within seconds of each others', despite our massive group. Our waiter, Mitchell, was so well presented, friendly, knowledgeable, didn't forget a single thing and served us all in a timely manner and with a great smile!

We have just visited miller and carter at lakeside for Valentine’s Day and wow what can I say. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection and the dessert was fantastic. But more importantly the waiter (Mitchell ) that served us was brilliant. Every single thing that we required was seen to immediately and with ease , grace and professionalism. An absolute delight to have dined there today.

1 star is far to many. Came to your restaurant last night ( 14/3/18) and had to wait 20 minutes before we was given our table ( which was already pre booked) then we waited around 50 minutes to be given our starters after I asked where it was. We then had to wait around another 45 minutes to get our main meal and when it did turn up they gave us something completely different!
The best thing about the night was leaving the place and going nandos where we was served straight away.
If your very very hungry and like to wait for a very long time then go millers as you will wait for ever!
Wouldn’t mind if we had 1 apology from and of the staff and at least the manager but we didn’t get an apology from anyone.

Food delicious unfortunately we were sat by door even though asked if we could sit somewhere else were told no. (there appeared to be other tables free ?) Had to eat entire meal with coat on we were freezing. It was 2 of our birthdays ( we mentioned when booking) but felt rushed. Shame as was really looking forward to eve and our first visit to the restaurant but left a bit deflated.

This was a first experience at Miller and Carter and We booked well over a week ago for my sons birthday. We walked an noticed the doors were dirty. Tables where full with dirty dishes,glasses. We waited for a member of staff to see us and waited... We had 1 person in front who had been in the bar area still waiting to be seated. We was again left to wait with no acknowledgement from staff whilst they cleaned tables. When they finally dealt with us we was told after 15 mins after booking time to wait in the bar area. Again a wait to be served and £15 later I went to check our table. Still not cleaned or emptied I went back and explained I would not be eating as the place was under staffed,dirty. The place wasn't busy and customers looked miserable! We will not be returning and would not recommend.
