Why didn’t we try here sooner? The food quality was outstanding, but it’s the SERVICE where I wish there were 6 or 7 stars! Nothing was too much trouble, and they looked after my brother and his wheelchair without blinking. My aunt has a gluten allergy and the level of attention to detail exceeded anything I have experienced before. The roasts were fantastic, and there would have been clean plates all round but the portions were so generous! Cannot wait to come back. Thank you

First visit here, met with friends from work for a drink. Ordered the prawns and olives for food and a brownie. The food was delicious and the drinks were quite reasonable. Got a great play area for kids with outside toilets and nice bench seating. We came mid afternoon and it was lovely sitting in the sun in the garden. We will definitely be back.

Today we tried the Tapas Menu. Prices were affordable, Portion sizes great size. Recommend the hot wings, hummus and pita bread and also the Patatas bites) Staff were friendly also. Very happy customer.

First time I've dined here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I took my mum for lunch as we've passed it many times but never thought to go in. We had warm reception upon entering and inwss impressed by the decor and cleanliness, much more 'chic' than your normal pub. It was a busy lunch, we were not in a hurry so the time between starter and main was perfect. Our starters were lovely, prawn cocktail and pate and caramelized onion chutney. I recommend the tempura fish and chips, delicious, not greasy or anything. Lovely chips, peas and tartare sauce. My mum had steak and chips which she also enjoyed. Our waitress was very warm and friendly. Some updates pics from a lunch in December 2021 - a lovely venue, with perfect service and delicious food. Service is not included, and the machine didn't allow to add, so if you want to tip, you need to have cash on you.

Lot's of bar stuff, good service. Clean and tidy, inside and out. Large car park. Big indoor marquee extension with tables etc. and a large garden including 4 or 5 large roofed open booth areas (seat 8+). They have an outside bar area too. Didn't try the food, but quite a few plates being served in the garden looked good (fish and chips etc.).

My first visit to The Bull Thurrock.Wide selection on the menu.I had fish and chips which was delicious. Service was excellent.

We were viewing properties and got hungry. The owner of one of the properties we saw suggested we eat at The Bull which was a 5 minute walk from their place. We are glad they recommended it to us. We both enjoyed our food, the atmosphere and the service. We did feel underdressed as we were in jeans but still enjoyed ourselves.

The place is looking nice. The waitres Emma wAs excellent. Food delivered was quickly just a burn and not cook well.

We were here for a funeral wake. The owner graciously set aside a room for us on a day when they are usually closed. They provided food and drinks to accommodate our needs. The atmosphere was brilliant given the circumstances. The staff were respectful and helpful and we kept them very busy! Thank you for making this sad occasion a little more bareable. I've been here before under much happier circumstances and again, the food and staff are top notch!

We have been here a few times for lunch...BUT, today. Wow,last minute decision to eat out. Had the homemade vegetable soup followed by the three meat roast. Never once have I ever finished a roast but ,oh my goodness. This was the best roast dinner I've eaten I left the plate empty. Complimentary cauliflower cheeses absolute delicious. I can see this being a regular Sunday. Great staff,great food and great atmosphere..compliments to the chef..

Very friendly place , staff are great and so is the food. Childrens area in the gardens is good fun. The back room can be hired for groups and a buffet service is available .

Always love visiting the bull it has a great atmosphere and in the daytime the kids love playing in the garden playground. It's always clean and the drinks and food a good price! Have tried most of the menu and enjoyed it all. In the evening on the weekend they have a dj and it's always good fun!

Met friends for lunch, the decor was lovely but we were all very disappointed with the bar food. My friend ordered a salt beef sandwich with crisps and salad, what actually arrived was a small ciabatta roll with beef, 1 curly lettuce leaf and 5 crisps. Myself and my other friend ordered chicken skewers with salad and chips, what actually arrived was 4 cubes of chicken, diced tomato and cucumber and a small portion of rice. When we asked why we had rice and not chips as described on the menu we were told that is what the chef now serves with it. We were not offered chips in place of the rice just told that the chef needs to update the menu. The food is very overpriced for the tiny portion sizes, I won't be returning here for food again. Also we would have liked to have sat in the booths but they were all reserved however for the three hours that we were there for no one came for the booths? On our first visit when it opened we had lovely food with good portion sizes what has gone wrong?

Outstanding venue, Amazing food and drinks and Fantastic service! We hired a booth all day and night for my 40th celebrations and were blown away with the service we received from our personal waitress who constantly checked we were ok, the quality of food/drink from the package & outdoor kitchen and the beautiful setting to be able to sit back/relax and enjoy the celebrations! Thank you to everyone at The Bull!
