Great pub food, not expensive, nice staff.
18 of us booked in, we got all our meals together, everything went smoothly, slight delay on one of the meals that we didn't even really notice, but they couldn't apologise enough.. everyone enjoyed their meals, the steaks were cooked exactly as ordered.. and the 3 young lads that were on were so polite and friendly.. perfect night, Thank you..
We had a lovely meal it was hot, wellcooked and had plenty flavour well served sausages, ,chips peas and gravy , also lasagne. We would like to say a big Thank You ,to Jack he was attentive ,polite , professional funny and totally respectful young man . Not just to Myself and my Husband, but to other customers . For example there was a gentleman say over 70 on his own there was a slight issue with certain food availability . Jack gently explained issue making sure he understood and it was if he was the only customer in the pub. Another member of staff shouted over to him he quickly and politely told staff member he was dealing with the customer and would be with them shortly . What a breath of fresh air he is . All the staff we where served by had a smile and where very pleasant .The last time we visited the Red Cat was a couple of years ago experience very manic and unhelpful staff. The best pub and my favourite pub on The Wirral. The staff are amazing, they’re all very friendly and very helpful. Its a very nice place with great food. The customers are all very nice too. I have a great time every single time I go. I use to be nervous about going to pubs, especially on my own but The Red Cat and the staff all make me feel welcome every time and have really helped me with my confidence as well.
Myself and my family visited after a mistake with a booking from another venue but I’m glad we ended up here as the service we received was outstanding. My niece, who is 4, does not like sitting still for prolonged amount of times and finds family meals challenging but your server Alicia made the visit much easier than usual. Alicia was very attentive to her needs and even brought her several pictures to colour in and spoke to her with respect and really made her feel important. Alicia is a credit to this branch of green king and made everyone feel more than welcome. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves!

Great local pub. Large with variety of seating areas. Good food and a selection of real ales. Live entertainment as well as sky TV for sports in some sections of pub but can be avoided by sitting in other areas if that's not your thing.
Went on Saturday. Both meals superb, guy behind the bar very helpful and hospitable. Nice pint of Madri !

Under new management, great staff, lovely food. Glad to have the Cat back under decent management following the previous manager being sacked!!
We sat in the beer garden. In the rain but was covered so a great place. Our drink choices were sadly out of stock but there were plenty of alternatives. We ate lunch and enjoyed the food. Hubby had fish and chips and I had the superseded salad with chicken thighs. Very nice. Staff friendly too.
Amazing food and fabulous staff went above and beyond
We went for a few drinks on a Friday night and ordered food where we were told they weren’t severing food at 9:01 when we ordered at 8:47pm when the kitchen didn’t close until 9pm. We had only ordered chips and a garlic bread and had already had the payment received and 10 mins later told us we were unable to have our food.
After speaking to management on shift we were told that as the kitchen hadn’t had a check in for a 10 min period they closed the kitchen early. We then had to get a refund which would take a 5 working day return. One member of staff was extremely helpful and tried as much as she could whereas one was quite blunt and very quick to the point in our return and explaining the process, for a Friday I found this very unacceptable.
