No 2 Golden Fry

I live in NYC now but it's the first dinner I have when back home. It had been my local chippy since i was born (almost 50 yrs now!). Fish, chips and mushy peas. Lots of salt and vinegar. The wife who is from NYC has been know to stand outside waiting for them to open. She's Dominican and knows her fried food. I took a buddy who is Trinidadian over for a footie match and he went back right after digging into fish n chips to get another portion...granted he'd had a few beers at that point. Only thing (and it has nothing to do with this chippy) is how expensive it's gotten. I recall fish n chips for a pound in me teens...I think.

Great little family-run Chinese chippie that's been established in Greasby for years. Always friendly, good prices, and tasty food. Fish are fried fresh, sausages are spot-on, chips are delicious! Chinese takeaways are delicious too, but I can only speak for the few I've tried - my number 1 in Greasby is defo GFN2.

The food is fresh. You get huge portions. Reasonably cheap and well worth the very short wait. It's probably advisable to call to book your order then you can pick it up without waiting. Get home and enjoy. That's it, I'm going for tonight dinner. It is a cash only place. Which doesn't bother me. I have seen idiots complain about that. I don't know why as it doesn't bother anyone else. The food is really good the Chinese meals are delicious

Was honestly a bit dubious at first with it being no delivery, but every single doubt has vanished. This place has well and truly impressed me and it is so much more worth it than any "just-eat"chinese takeaway, trust me. The portions were really big and the option to have boiled/fried rice/chips with your main at the additional price of 80p is an absolute steal. I honestly cant believe a total of 6.20 for a house special curry with rice, completely filled me, but it did. My partner had the traditional fish and chips and said it was the best. No over fried, greasy or soggy chips here. Huge portions of fish with crispy batter, 1 piece hung over the plate at both ends! Fantastic! Thank you very much golden fry no2. P.s for all reading this, if you forget its cash only (like I did), next door is a convenience store that does cash back, so dont worry.
