Sat in side this lovely quaint coffee shop, with a beautiful courtyard with plenty of room for cyclists, i will definitely making a few visits here on my cycle rides, also ill br bringing my family, especially when weve been walking over cleveland hills, above all clean and very welcoming
Went for high tea with a group of freinds yesterday and really enjoyed the whole experience. The food was lovely and plenty of it. My daughter is vegan so we rang ahead and enquired if they could cater for her and they came up trumps. She had a wonderful selection of sweet and savoury delights. All staff were freindly and efficient . Thank you so much. Will definitely be back soon. Xx
I have been in this lovely little cafe loads, and all with different people, for lots of different reasons. Everyone who I know, loves it. Firstly I find the description of the owner to be absolutely outrageous! You felt the wrath? Really? People love nothing better than to knock someone down when they are trying to make their way in the world. I can't actually believe a grown man felt the 'wrath' from Fiona. It is obvious to me that some people don't like change. If you had a problem, you should have flagged it up whilst you were in there, but no, you probably fell over yourself to get to the nearest keyboard so you could have a good moan. Her food is amazing, she is an excellent baker, and there is nothing nasty about her. Young people can't do right for doing wrong. There she is, building a business in a difficult climate, doing her best and still people moan. People should be supporting their local businesses', not tearing them down. Not everyone has the guts to start a business. If she was out swilling alcopops, and hanging around the shops doing nothing, I could understand. What do you hope will be the outcome of nasty comments and unfounded jibes? That she fails? That people will avoid the cafe, just so you can stand and watch with your hands on your hips, nodding to passer's by 'I told you'. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but giving a bad review because of a toastie, and getting personal about a person you know nothing about is ridiculous. You should be ashamed of yourself.
After a hard walk to Roseberry Topping. A couple told me about a great tearoom with wonderful cakes and scones. I'm Great Ayton called no5. So off I went down a back street , there it was. A lovely lady approached for my order. I had a cheeseboard for £6.50 and a pot of tea. The cheese arrived and wow! 3 of my favourite cheeses with a pot of chutney, dressing for the salad and some great biscuits. Give it a try !!!
It was very cosy on a cold winter day. We all had the soup, which was very tasty as was the bread that came with it. The selection of cakes and desserts was fabulous and very difficult to chose between. Will certainly be back.
Great food and service. A lovely little place that I'll definitely be visiting again. The cakes and cookies looked amazing.
