Lovely cafe. Tried the cheese scone with carrot jam, not something I would usually go for but it was delicious. Worth a stop if passing through the area or if local make a regular coffee spot
We came across this amazing cafe enroute to an overnight stay in Saltburn by the sea. We were shown to a table in the upstairs part of the cafe immediately on entering the premises. We were served within a few minutes of being seated, we both chose toasted sandwiches served with coleslaw and crisps.

Quirky decor in a cosy cottage layout. Upstairs seating too. Very comfortable ambience. Went for brunch at 11am. Got busier by lunchtime. Attentive service, lovely menu and our food and coffees were excellent. (E.g. wild mushroom and garlic cream on toast with perfectly poached egg.)
