Bookham's best kept secret? Hopefully the secret's out though... The food continually exceeds expectations and the service is great. Even on a night when there were staffing issues, the Chef achieved the impossible, graciously serving and cooking! Please go and try it - you won't be disappointed.
We went for a Saturday evening dinner. Imaginative menu with locally sourced products. Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was well presented and delicious. Highly recommended.
Could this be the gastropub Bookham so desperately needs? Our first experience was very positive. We ordered classics: sausage and mash & fish and chips. Both were really well done. Will be back.

We had a mixture of garlic prawns chicken wings in a spicy sauce for starters followed by salmon, steak and chicken all cooked to perfection
We finished off with a cheese board which had generous portions of cheese

We are locals and regular drinkers at the Royal Oak. Had lunch there today which was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ pub food. Love the new lunch menu. Steak sandwich was amazing!!!
