Review The Pheasant - Great Chishill

A pub is only as good as it's management and staff! Mike, Liam and the gang at The Pheasant really do make it a lovely place to be. We've not had a full on meal there yet, but I am looking forward to trying the main menu and cheeseboard. We have however had the happy hour deal between 4pm and 6pm on Fridays... Free food (nibbles) with a drink!! Even better is they do a loyalty card... Looking forward to summer and autumn evenings here with my family!

A true hidden diamond, we went for a date night with excellent food, grate service and fantastic pints. I throw my first bullseye at this pub. If you are passing through it’s a must visit pub.

What can I say? Amazing pub, friendly locals, great prices and the food is brilliant too! Staff are friendly and good for a chat as well. Really made our little getaway much better than it already was. Recommend 100%.

What an unexpected pleasure. We found out our favourite bar manager had changed pubs and it didn't disappoint. The pub is in a beautiful village with a really nice community feel. Locals were friendly and chatty, and the food was excellent. Going back again on Friday. Such a lovely way to wind down after a busy week 🙂

Gorgeous experience Visited once with friends for a big birthday last week, then returned for Sunday lunch with my husband today. The food was exceptional and such friendly staff. Cosy, festive ambience, which in the current climate is not a given. Already planning our return, probably after Xmas when it’s tough for businesses and flat for us. This pub and its staff deserve a lot of love ❤️❤️❤️

Good old English country pub. Liam was our friendly attentive staff member. Limited menu which means the dishes are all well cooked and presented. Good selection of beers. I hear the roast is exceptional so intend on a revisit soon.

Popped in today to sample the Saturday Brunch. Was not disappointed, the chorizo hash topped off with a beautifully fried egg was gorgeous. Later on, we treated ourselves to the chocolate brownie bites which were brilliant. Lovely friendly pub, attentive staff and a good vibe too.

A delightfully traditional pub with a contemporary menu. We stopped in here for lunch one weekday during the summer holidays. We were able to park in the car park. Luckily we arrived and ordered just before a large party with children arrived for lunch. The blackboards advertised a regular quiz night (also happens to be on pie night), a "bring your own vinyl" night and other speciality nights. There were two lunch menus; a sandwich menu and cooked meal menu, both of which cater for every taste. The barmen were happy to chat and served us quickly. My brother was pleased as he was able to get one of his favourite beers on tap. The best bit for me? Seeing a dartboard, packs of playing cards and dominoes to play with. As we left we realised there was a large beer garden out the back. Will certainly be going back again.

New management have taken over and it’s amazing 😍 free selection of bar snacks every Friday with a drink from 4:00! Friendly staff and so accommodating! Garden is huge with lots of picnic benches to choose from!

Thanks to Meghan and the team for a fantastic Sunday lunch when I popped in with my dad and his wife. Was superb. And thanks to Zoe who tried her hand at making an Irish coffee with Bailey's which was also fantastic. Really enjoyed it
