Six of us visited for Sunday lunch at noon, and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit.
All three of our courses were brought out swiftly by courteous, capable and kind staff. The food was excellent in every respect: beautifully presented, tasty, and decent portion sizes.
The decor is modern and clean, and the whole place is airy and well lit. The children were given exercise sheets and pens to keep them entertained. Imagine our surprise when we asked for the bill, to find out that the children eat for free (and they certainly got a good feed)!
Excellent value, too, coming in at just over £100 for all six of us. We will absolutely be returning, and soon.

Brilliant place for both food or just drink. The food is very good. Incredibly tasty and very reasonably priced. They have wonderful outdoor tables that go into their gardening patch - very fresh vegetables and fruit! Perfect for a nice relaxed drink in the sun.
Good selection of beers on tap and my friends though good wine and cocktails! Staff were very friendly.

Lovely clean place, good friendly staff. Food was cooked to a very good standard, and served well. Served to table within reasonable waiting time. I will be returning to try another dish.
Staff are very helpful and so friendly, the rooms in the hotel are just right and you couldn't ask for a better location. I was able to see the kitchens when I was there and must say they were spotless. I would really recommend The Star as a pub, restaurant and hotel. Also there is plenty of off road, secure parking.
I went to the Chop House with my club using the upstairs function room.
We were given a choice of three main meals and puddings before our event and the food was excellent as was the service. Tea and Coffee were also included in the price we paid which was not exorbitant.

The food was lovely but the service let it down a bit to be honest as the side dishes to accompany our meals arrived so much later than anything else. It was a very nice meal though.
Lovely interior. Food very good. Staff are polite and helpful. Drinks at the table were a little slow in arriving but overall a very enjoyable experience.
