Merrivale Tea Rooms - Great Yarmouth - Photo album

We stopped here for lunch for the first time today- was really impressed! The staff were all really friendly and the food we ordered was all delicious! Lovely to sit outside under the parasol- great atmosphere. It's dog friendly too which was handy for us. They also had a dog section on the menu-
We have been here twice on this visit to Great Yarmouth and been prior to this visit. The first day we had lunch. I had a tuna mayo sandwich and it was served on lovely thick granary bread, with crisps and a side salad. The only downside is the service can be slow but we're on holiday so no rush. We
We had a lovely lunch here today. Fantastic food. My hubby has fish chips and peas and he says it was the best fish he's had in great Yarmouth. I had southern fried chicken burger with chips and salad...that was lovely too. The wait for ordering food was excessively long but once ordered it was
Only disappointment about this tea room was that we have never found it before. Located next to the Model Village but sits back off the main road. Had a cream tea today and it was lovely. Staff very friendly all food cooked on premises. Scones were still warm. Will definitely go back.
Love this place. We were served by, I think, the owner. He was really friendly and helpful, the coffee I had wasn’t very strong so he happily added another shot to it free of charge. There is an amazing selection of tasty cakes on offer.
Outstanding service and lovely place! Nice fresh scones and cakes. Very friendly and welcoming with lovely music. Highly recommend!
Cream tea followed by Cocktails/Mocktails! Great place as always. Have to try his other place near the pier too, looks great.
Staff are very friendly and helpful especially with their gluten free range as I really enjoyed my scone with raspberry jam and clotted cream and a latte. I will definitely recommend stopping here after a long walk along the promenade. Thank you 😋
We have been going here for years always friendly staff and great food. The cakes are really good. We were eating when a man started watering the plants as we were chatting to him he told us he was the owner, such a nice man you would not think that he owned it. Well worth a visit and don't forget t
If you have never been here, then it's an absolute must. The only problem is you will keep going back and spending all your money...
Loved the cream tea and ambience was really pretty ❤️
We chose this tearoom because 2 of the people dining with us were gluten free and we were impressed by the range of gluten free options on the menu. The staff were so helpful and though the queue to order was long it was worth the wait as everyone was happy with their food. We living locally so will
Excellent chocolate éclairs! The covered outside seating was ideal on a 'wintry' August day. Strangely, but not unpleasantly, there were dozens of sparrows flying and hopping around the tables feeding off the crumbs.....which gave it a slightly 'aviary' feeling!
Really nice day out, we fancied a cuppa 🤔 but when we saw the cakes on sale!?! They had a nice selection of fresh cream cakes.. Thinking it would be rude not to indulge 😇, So two cakes and two large latte later😁, we went about the rest of our day out at Yarmouth 👍😉.
Some say that tipping is both a great way of showing appreciation but also a must do! Here in the UK we tend to do it when overwhelmed with the service, the food, the experience and not necessarily done as standard So I was that impressed I did leave them a tip and I will leave you one....visit he
Handy cafe for post-Pleasure Beach refreshment, serving homemade hot food and a large number of daily specials in addition to cakes, pastries and sandwiches. Would definitely benefit from a proper ordering till rather than staff writing down orders longhand then using a calculator!
