We found this seaside cafe style restaurant whilst looking around the gift shops, and was tempted by their choice of £6.95 roast dinners. We were pleasantly surprised, inside it was clean and the tables nicely laid out. Service was good, the waitress who took our order was friendly & cheerful, but bless her was clearly struggling on her own to cope with all the customers, as it was very busy. Some were obviously regulars, and a few were being, lets just say 'difficult'. We all had the beef roast, which was simply done, (meat, boiled & roast potatoes, 3 veg and a Yorkshire pudding) and for the price, it was good value, well cooked, and had plenty of meat, very nice indeed. The portion size was OK, but noticed they did have a 'go large' option for £2 more.
Aside from roasts, they have a good choice of meals to choose from, including some for children, as well as some homemade like their lasagne, traditional seaside breakfasts, and fish & chips. It's also licensed, so you can have a beer, as well as a tea or coffee if your prefer.
It's not fancy, but it serves good, simple, honest food at very fair prices.
Very welcoming. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Comfortable seating and very clean. We will certainly make a return visit. Thank you for a pleasant couple of hours.
Really nice food, two of my daughter's even though they are in there 20's are fussy eaters and they went above and beyond by giving more than we asked or ever would have asked. Excellent place
