Grayling - Great Yarmouth - Photo album

At first look the grayling appears like any other chain pub with a carvery but go inside & you will be welcomed by friendly staff & the beautiful smell of the carvery. The place is very clean & there are inside & outside kids play areas, good selection of drinks & food menu alongside the carvery. Ev
Booking was extremely easy and we were met on arrival and shown to our table which had excellent space for a wheelchair. Staff were very helpful in taking our orders and bringing drinks etc to the table whilst we collected our carvery meal. The duty chef in charge of the carvery was extremely pers
Visited for Sunday carvery and it was gorgeous. I had turkey & beef , my partner opted for the pork. From being seated to leaving the service and attitude of all the team was first class. The chef on the servery Chris was a credit to The Grayling, pleasant, polite and it really felt he loved his job
Warm and welcoming staff and venue on arrival. Came with 3 dogs and were seated in a dog friendly area. Manager and chef both came over to say hello to dogs, brought water and treats over. Ordered food and drinks. Food arrived promptly and was great quality and taste. Puddings ordered and also delic
I had to wait quite a long time to place my order as there was no one behind the bar, someone else was waiting too. The server of the carvery was very cheerful and upbeat I couldn’t fault him. The carvery itself was very good a nice variety of meat and vegetables. Everyone was polite and all in all
The service was really excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Even coming to tell us when the children’s food was due to come out so we could get our carvery, it was amazing service. The food was delicious and the carvery was the best we’ve had in years. The beef was perfect!! We will def be
One of my favourite places to eat out We love the vegan/veggie options. For veggie carvery is amazing! Staff have always been super lovely. The only thing that ruins it. Is being sat next to the children's section as we don't have kids but have to then have them running around our table, screamin
The chef was outstanding, very polite, and made you feel wanted. The roast potatoes, some were a bit hard to cut, but nowhere near the beef dripping potatoes, they were so hard you had difficulty cutting them open. I think the Grayling just needs sharper knives. Loved the small plate carvery. Will c
So much better now with new management, better atmosphere too. Glad the children’s area has been refurbished at long last . Still a few issues in the main restaurant that need attention. Chef that served us was great , good conversation. It was my parents 50th wedding anniversary, they had a lovely
Spacious comfortable pub. Staff friendly and welcoming. Good menu, although we ate early on a Sunday evening and quite a lot was no longer available. Food was delicious especially the sticky toffee pudding.
We had a fabulous evening. It was my mums birthday and she is currently undergoing chemotherapy and cancer treatment so wanted all the family together to spend her birthday with her. The staff were amazing snd went above and beyond. The menu great and carvery and meals all really lovely - we will be
Much improved since the last time I visited. The app wasn’t working which meant there was a bit of a crowd at the bar for ordering. Carvery could have had more choice on veg etc, but the food was really tasty and everyone was friendly and attentive compared to only a couple of months ago. Wouldn’t h
Had a lovely Sunday roast last week. First time going, great service. Reasonably priced. Food was good, I would personally prefer a little more variety of vegetables. However doesn't take away the fact the food was delicious. Will definitely go back and recommend. 😊.
