Review The Blackadder Hotel Bar & Restaurant - Greenlaw

My wife and I were in for lunch. The Reasturant bright and welcoming. The service was first class with staff that seemed to enjoy working there. The food was excellent at a very reasonable price. Neither my wife or I could find anything to complain about. We will certainly be back in the very near future.

Went in for a quiet pint on Friday night and dinner on the Saturday night, very friendly staff, lovely fresh decor, food lovely

This pub was quite nice. The Bellhaven best was in good condition and the meals were great. The young lady who looked after us did a good job. The Pizza could have had moore toppings other than just pepperoni. Perhaps a few Peppers etc. Otherwise all ok.

Down at the caravan park for the weekend and visited the blackadder pub for dinner on the Sunday. Food was lovely cooked nice. Staff are friendly. They are a bit rushed off their feet as only 2 staff and bar was busy. Don't normally leave reviews but felt the need for this one.

Restaurant was really nice- all staff were so polite and friendly- made us feel very welcome. As we were there with the dog and came multiple time through our stay in Greenlaw- they always made sure to give us a table where dog could settle down in the corner. Food was fresh and very tasty. Great atmosphere.

Enjoyed our lunch here today.The scampi chips &salad were delicious &beautifully presented. Keira ,our little chihuahua , sat beside us and was very well behaved in this dog 🐕 friendly Bar. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this lovely area.

Very attentive and friendly staff, especially lady with Eeyore tattoo. Nice vibe, you get both restaurant feel on one side and pub on the other. We had f&c (great beer batter-could be more crispy, quality fish, peas and tartar sauce!) and slow braised beef (super nice meat, downside: there was cabbage in and not sure if was mentioned on the menu but I can not eat it). Overall very good. Get some more variety of beers and it would be perfect :-)

This is an amazing friendly bar and restaurant, Pam and the team are fantastic always make everyone welcome. The staff and chef will always ensure your meal is as you request, they have even made a pasta dish for me that was not on the menu they just go the extra mile to ensure you have a fantastic meal. My apologies for the previous rating, I hadn't realised I had rated on this site. I am so glad the owner came back to me for my feedback issues as this shows they take all ratings seriously. Again excellent customer service.

Takeaway only just now, but worth a try. The food was delicious, hot and freshly cooked. The menu is not huge, but enough to give you a decent choice. Only open Thursday to Sunday at this time, due to Covid restrictions, however, well worth a try if in the area.

Had a meal with friends from the village and was very impressed withe the food and service. The waiting staff were very helpful and professional and considering we had a 8 at the table there was no waiting for meals as they all came together. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area 😁

My daughter booked here for me and my sister we had a fantastic meal hot tasty well presented. The Staff were fantastic could not fault them very attentive. Will definitely come back and will highly recommend it. Thank you.

Had dinner at the Blackadder hotel restaurant on Saturday night with my husband, son and his 5 year old daughter Alex and our dinner was just lovely. My son who is more than a bit fussy about his meat said his blade of beef was one of the best cuts of meat he has tasted in a long time, cooked to perfection and totally flavoursome, my husband had the same dish and he agreed entirely. Alex had the mini chicken fillets from the kids menu and there was quite substantial portion of which I had one from her plate and they were also cooked to perfection, lovely and fresh and I asked if they could make me the goats cheese salad from the starter menu as a main course and it was delicious, very attractively presented as were all of our dishes. Cannot fault the Blackadder for the quality of their food, presentation and service was also excellent. Not forgetting to mention the lovely decor of this restaurant, it is divine, what a transformation and glad to see that it is being well frequented by the locals of Greenlaw as well as the people from the holiday camp. Hopefully it will with time become a favourite stopping off point in the border area as it is well worth a visit. We will be back xx�� � �

First time eating here and I had the best time! Fantastic food which they catered to my satisfaction, excellent staff and its a very warm, friendly and relaxing environment. Honestly the best place we've been too in years! Credit to all the staff!

16 of us had a meal last night in the private room, not one complaint, fantastic atmosphere, service and food was delicious. Would highly recommend. Very efficient and professional staff. We will be back :)

What a difference! We have eaten here a good number of times as we have a caravan on the local site. The food has always been first class on every visit be it a Saturday evening or a Sunday lunch. The difference recently is Pam. What an asset she is!! She makes sure she makes everyone feel like a regular/friend without it feeling forced. As a result the atmosphere in the Blackadder is so much better than it has been since it opened and it is down to her. She is a natural! We were going to go out for a meal in our home town of Newcastle tonight but chose to drive to the caravan to have a meal at the ‘Adder because of Pam and the delicious food. Absolutely first class in every way.

We went for our wedding anniversary this is now the 3rd time we have been and have to say the food was delicious. It's just a shame that some of the staff are such a let down in terms of etiquette when some never stop. Clearly not a enough staff to cover the bar and waiting on the tables. Aside from that a very enjoyable meal

There are not many good places to eat around the Duns area/villages for a modern Sunday lunch, this was recommended to us and didn't disappoint. Decor very nice, staff very attentive and friendly. An excellent offering of Beef, Pork, Chicken & Lamb (Both Lamb & Beef served pink - very nice) with fresh array of veg and amazing Yorkshire pudding, roasties & gravy. We also took our 9 year son to, how choice Chicken Nuggets, I'm so pleased to see a pub that have up'd there game when it comes to serving kids dinners (No processed chicken in sight) all homemade with real chicken fillets and chips with skin on. Great value, this could turn in to be our regular Sunday treat - Thanks to the Chef & Staff. xx

Went to The Blackadder last night with the family for our evening meal, food was fantastic, staff were lovely, everyone enjoyed their meals, will definitely be back, dogs also welcome which was a bonus.

Went on sunday for dinner, had the chicken and the food was gorgeous, all the veg was lovely too. The inside is beautiful, the staff very welcoming and helpful and compliments to the chef, we had a beautiful meal. Thankyou.

As soon as you walk through the door first impressions are excellent, it didn't stop there the food was outstanding as well and the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend.
