The Crown Inn - Groombridge - Photo album

Been there a few times now. Lovely staff, food created with care, excellent local cider!!! Location is amazing with great walks and views around the area. Driving there through the Sussex countryside is also a treat! We had a gluten free and vegan chocolate desert with vanilla ice cream and custard.
I popped in here twice last weekend as I heard great things about their food especially their international menu and I was not disappointed at all... My first venture I had a Russian cabbage roll dish (Golubtsyi, translated as "little pigeons")... a hearty dish consisting of cooked cabbage leaves w
Excellent, genuinely ancient country pub. This fine hostelry serves "Sussex Best" real ale, by Palmer's of Lewes
One of our favourite countryside walks, has this stop for refreshments. My Swedish friend was amazed by the roast belly pork main. I agree absolutely, a perfectly cooked dish with all the accompanying vegetables. Also look up the great history, which includes Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, smugglers and a
Fabulous Sunday lunch, reasonably priced in a beautiful pub. The steak and ale pie was delicious. Professional service with a smile. Will definitely be returning thank you.
If you arexa lover of cheese then go here for the cheese board alone. It is the best I have ever eaten. Bar none. The wines are good and extremely reasonable. Tthe oortion sizes are fantastic. These guys know how to entertain.
Came here with my brother who is a regular/local and I was made to feel very welcome by the landlord and his staff and would've stayed longer had it not for needing to get the bus home. Can't comment on the food as I we didn't dine there but 100% brilliant country pub.
A good country pub offering good beer in an agreeable setting. Bus 291 stops outside.
A great pub interesting menu with both vegan and gluten free options. Food all cooked to order and tasty generous portions Great staff Recommended
The food here is to die for- we came twice!! The lamb wellington is cooked to perfection. Beer Garden is lovely and staff were very co-operative about getting the food up the hill.
Thank you for the superb food you provided us with yesterday.good portions and nicely presented dishes. We have not been for about 5 years but the food quality remains the same This does not apply to some pubs at the moment. A lovely old ambience in the pub !! I shall be returning with the walking g
I had been wanting to visit this pub for a long time and it didn’t disappoint, great gluten free options for my wife , some some nice local beers and ciders too . Will go again as the food was really good
Past many times and finally decided to stop, best ploughmans and chips in a long time! Lovely staff great menu so will be back soon to try something else of it. Lots of vegan/veggie options, much more then I'd have expected
Really lovely food and even better service. The gentleman who served us went so far out of his way to help my mother who is less mobile than she would like to be. A must visit!
Great pub. We only had drinks but the view is unreal (as you can see). The inside is very rustic and worth a stop if you are driving by! The cemetery across the road is something you need to do. Very old and very historic. 1665AD.
Great pub in a beautiful area, a shame I've got late after the kitchen was closed. Looking forward to visit it again!
