The staff were very accommodating in finding us a table at short notice, which we were grateful for. Service was very chaotic, 3 people asked us if we wanted to order drinks, and we kept explaining that we'd ordered them, but no one had brought them and could we order meals. Eventually, someone brought the drinks and took the food order. I had to forfeit a starter as they had no chicken wings, and it's the only time I've ever had tough beef in a Thai meal, but it was dry and chewy with not much taste. Maybe we were unlucky, but it was a big disappointment.

Once again we just turned up with no booking, but hostess was happy to find us a table. With so much choice on the menu we went with a set meal. Fantastic food with brilliant service!

I have traveled to Thailand 3 times. I ate Thai food in almost all countries in Europe in the last 10 years. This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. I could not believe I can eat real authentic Thai food in Europe and this is by far the best restaurant on this continent.

Been here a few times and love the salmon dish. Very friendly and accommodating staff, went beyond the call of duty with helping me with my allergy requirements and had a great meal w/ friends.

Had a birthday party there and i have to say, having never tried Thai food i was pleasantly surprised i absolutely enjoyed it. The starter was pan fried fish cakes with a sweet chilli dip that was excellent. Main course was pan fried duck with pineapple, spring onions and a coconut rice absolutely beautiful. All came quick and hot and as a beginner to Thai food i thought it was reasonably well priced my complements to the chefs will be back there again soon, highly recommend.

Amazing restaurant with hearty portions and friendly staff who were able to alter a dish for a peanut allergy. 4 stars instead of 5 because the service was rather slow and the food was a bit pricey in the end but I’d still recommend it to any fan of Thai cuisine in the area.

It was okay, I far preferred Thai Terrace, for food, ambiance as this restaurant has a couple of windows overlooking the marina but you are still inside. Another point, we wanted to sit by the window but they said it was reserved (without the reserve plate on the table) . Until we left, no one arrived to sit there, which wasn't nice. Portion size was very good just besides the rice which was a small bowl, which I required 2 bowls to enjoy my beef curry. Starters of chicken satay was a good portion with 4 skewers with 2 large pieces on each. Interesting enough, my colleagues who were there last week got a portion of complimentary prawn crackers, which wasn't offered this time and the owner said it had been stopped to prevent people with allergies being affected and was stopped a while back.... Only last week 🤔

My first encounter with Sawatdi was at the North show, first day, where they had a stall, not only was I drawn by the smell of the food, but then I was greeted by the sight of the wonderful food, swiftly followed by the sight of this lovely lady wearing a very unusual hat which made me smile . . . a lot. Yen, as I know is her name, was so pleasant and warm with her greeting that it made the experience even more enjoyable, and then I started to eat and my mouth fell in love, so much so that I returned the next day (Battle of Flowers) and ate there again, greeted with a wonderful smile from Yen as she recognised me, and again, my mouth fell in love all over again, with a different dish this time. I couldn't leave Guernsey without visiting the restaurant itself, this time I was greeted with a hug and a huge smile, and again the food was amazing, the service was wonderful and the whole experience was just amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to find Sawatdi at another outdoor event, Vale Castle, and I couldn't help myself, I just had to eat the food once more, and again Yen was her wonderful smiling self making the moment even more enjoyable. I can't praise the food or Yen enough, I will be back the next time I am in Guernsey and Sawatdi will be high on my list of must do's Thank you Yen for the food, the warm welcomes and the lovely experience. ขอขอบคุณ K̄hx k̄hxbkhuṇ
