Visited Pho restaurant in Guildford recently. I’ve got to give a shout-out to the waitress, Charlotte, who served us. She was lovely. 10/10 service.
Also, the pandan waffle is so underrated and will definitely come back for that!

Front of house staff were exceptional. My food took ages to get to me because they had only one chef in that day. That's the only thing that ruined my experience. The food and service were excellent so I gave them a 4* instead of 5*. The food was excellent, the prawns were perfectly done. 😋 The taste, seasoning and texture were phenomenal. They didn't have apple juice. I was feeling adventurous so I tried to ginger carrot smoothie. It changed my life! I will definitely give them another visit.

Have been here few times food was pretty delicious and acceptable. However this time is pretty disappointed, the wok fried rice and bun are very salty and can taste lots of MSG in it… I gotta drink litres of water after the meal.
The seasoning were very strong that we could barely finish the whole plate. The vietnamese coffee is always highlight of the night though.

This has quickly become a favourite! Food was fresh and full of flavour, atmosphere was bustling, and the service was impeccable! Charlotte, our waitress for the evening, was so sweet and attentive and always greeted us with a smile 🥰

Went it for a dinner yesterday and the food and overall experience was very nice, especially our waitress, Charlotte was very nice. She was smiling the entire time and was polite. Very good customer service. She definitely lifted the mood up.

I went to this restaurant with my husband on a Saturday evening. We ordered the chicken summer rolls and House Pho. Though we found the summer rolls to be average in taste and expensive for the portion size, the Pho made up for everything. It was exceptional in taste, very much filling and we enjoyed it to the fullest. One more positive about this place is their staff. They are extremely friendly and very accommodating. Definitely going back there to taste more of their amazing PHO dishes.

Pho is such a interesting place, located in Tunsgate and is very easily accessible . The environment is nice and comfortable. Loads of choices on the menu and prices are reasonable. The food is delicious and freshly made. Service is good too. I will definitely be back if I’m in Guildford and yearning for some Vietnamese food.

Super fresh food, delicious flavours and fast reliable customer service. We were seated instantly, the wait staff were super friendly and welcoming. Food came out quickly - although maybe not the most authentic Vietnamese food but flavours are there and it does taste great. I would recommend the chicken wings which are great, otherwise their fried rice and wok fried noodles have a nice kick. Pho itself was fresh but slightly bland?

We had lunch in Pho Guildford several times and the experience was great every time. Staff was welcoming and attentive. The spring rolls tasted authentic, really impressed! The Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk was a nice strength - not too strong nor too sweet. The portion size of the mains was generous. If you like beef, the beef combo pho is a brilliant choice. You get a good variety: steak, brisket and meatballs. We also ordered beef vermicelli, which was a room temperature dish. Fantastic fresh food, just fab! Will be back again soon!

PHO Guildford is my 8 years old son’s favourite restaurant. He always enjoyed the food and most of all seeing Donna, the manageress. She is so nice to everyone, both her customers and her staff. We always feel welcomed and relaxed in the restaurant. Recently, there has been an obvious new group of staff, but they are doing their best and Donna is working so hard to train and accommodate every customer at the same time.
The food is so delicious and the selections of the menu are vast. We never got disappointed with the food nor service. I’m sure the high standard will be maintained under Donna’s leadership.

Opening day Friday. Teething problems in the kitchen please come back in the evening when we will reopen.
This I did, only a short queue of maybe half a dozen people.
Food was excellent, it looked good too on neighbouring tables, service good, staff pleasant, helpful and friendly.
It goes against the grain to praise a chain, but would be churlish not to.
What a difference though a few days make.
I returned on the Monday, no queue, upstairs empty.
On walking in, I noticed a couple of tables querying their bill, but then thought nothing of it.
Again food excellent, and it looked good on neighbouring tables.
I was quite surprised to find entirely different staff, which leads to lack of consistency. Poor management. I would not describe staff as rude, but were curt, not friendly or helpful. A marked contrast to Friday. I had to remind them of the water I had requested.
When the bill was brought, I noticed an extra item, which was strange as I had only ordered one dish. I could now see why people were querying their bill when I walked in.
Service charge had been sneaked on to the bill, added to the full amount, not the discounted amount. This was completely unacceptable. It left a nasty taste in the mouth on leaving which negated any goodwill half price had generated.
On entry, I had asked was it half price? I was told yes. No mention of 10% service charge. Nor was there a service charge Friday.
On leaving I noticed in tiny print 12.5% discretionary service charge, evening only. It was not evening, it was not discretionary.
It is not the norm in Guildford to pay service charge. Nowhere have I been charged service charge. It is not acceptable practice, the menu price should be the price paid, not something sneaked in on top.
I was sat on both occasions by the window. It would have been claustrophobic to sit further in.
Apart from the service charge, and the not so good staff on the second visit, the only downside was the noise. It was very noisy, loud music then everyone speaking loudly to make themselves heard. This does not lead to a pleasant relaxing experience in a restaurant. I would recommend turn off the music. It is not necessary, is barely audible in the noise and simply leads to an unpleasant noisy experience.
I would not recommend taking tea or coffee after the meal, at least not lunchtime or afternoon. Pop across to Krema opposite, the No 1 coffee shop in Guildford. You will not be disappointed.
Based on my first visit, I would have rated 5*, but my second visit has dropped to 4*.

Lively atmosphere, friendly staff and I ate some of the best Vietnamese food I've ever tasted. Delicious, and fresh tasting. I can really recommend the summer rolls and the crispy beef on rice bowl. I just need to go back again to try some more dishes. Music was a bit loud for me but I am over 45 :D

I've been many times now, literally can't get enough of this menu and I've tasted most of it, so far everything is delicious. Love the personal herb plates you get to season your own pho, and especially love the mix of textures you get in their bun dishes. I'm a fully fledged Pho-natic!

yeah we went today on their soft launch day - food and service was excellent. Was expecting more chaos as it was a soft launch but it looked pretty normal to me. Try the coffee with condensed cream perfect way to wrap up lunch. Recommended.
