Brought home an amazing valentines meal take away, I can't thank Simon enough. Excellent food, top class customer Service always with a smile. I can't recommend this restaurant enough if you want original top quality extremely tasty authentic Italian food this is the place to go.

A wonderful new cafe in the town, and one we shall certainly be revisiting. After popping in with a 'Free Lunch' voucher today, we were greeted with very welcoming service, and a great explanation of everything on the menu. Essentially one side is a fried menu with mini calzone, crocche and arancini amongst other things, and the other side a more mixed menu which included pizza and pasta dishes.
It's fair to say this is more for informal eating during the day, either to take away, or to meet friends and enjoy a relaxed ambience. Informal eating, I'm all for!
Hubby and I were treated to arancini, a 3 cheese and a bolognese option. The chef's hometown we heard, is close to Bologna, so he has his own recipe passed down through the generations. We weren't disappointed! None of your over-rich tomato flavours that often give me heartburn, but a beautifully seasoned subtle bolognese that left you wanting more.
We also had the crocche, which had so much flavour I couldn't decide whether this was favoured over the bolognese arancini.
We were 'gifted' some of the spinach cake and some olive creation I forget the name of. Not a huge fan of green olives myself, but hubby enjoyed those thoroughly. Bit more filling on the pastry heavy spinach cake, and that'll be a winner for me too. I do LOVE spinach. :) The pastry though, was nice and short.
A surprise was the addition of two cakes for dessert! One with a hint of coffee, so not for me. A bit of a shame for me, as it was a beautiful brownie like dessert which I would've loved to indulge in lol, but again, the fella scoffed the lot.
The second dessert was a tasty blackcurrant tart. This guy can certainly make delicious desserts, often overlooked in many places.
We felt so satiated, and so pleased with the meal we had, a contribution to this 'free lunch' was necessary for us, and it was worth every penny.
Whilst the food is a little on the heavy side for us to enjoy on a frequent basis (Italian food often is), it's most definitely a place that's on our list when you just have to have something indulgent. ;)
It'd be lovely to see some beautiful salads on the menu. I'm sure with the skill the chef has with his flavourings, it would be something to thoroughly enjoy. :-P

Amazing food! They catered for a workshop I attended and i'll be fully recommending the place to everybody - great food, friendly service, lovely chef - Checked the menu while I was there and the value for money is great so i'll be going back myself when i'm next in the area!
Just ordered our first take away.... and it was unreal!!!fast service and good home cooked food a real hidden gem! Ordered the parmo that's not a parmo.... juicy chicken, amazing flavours served with chips. Get yourself there!
Great food. Fantastic prices, take your own bottle and even with corkage fee works out half the price of most wine in restaurants. Will deffo be going back, Simon the Italian chef is a top guy.
Excellent Italian Cafe just a few strides off Westgate on Westgate Road and well worth the 10 steps. Intimate surroundings, beautifully clean with affordable and tasty menu, not to mention the wonderful service from the owner. A real treat. Supporting independent small owners is far more satisfying than the multi nationals. Will definitely be going again and so should you. Thanks Maria and Mark.

If you are looking for top quality, authentic Italian food cooked superbly from scratch then look no further, excellent. Simon not only is an amazing REAL Italian chef, he is a perfect host.
Wonderful traditional Italian food cooked and beautifully presented, by a lovely chef called Simon, from Modena. Very reasonable prices, everything from coffee to light bites to favourites like Lasagne and spaghetti. Eat in, as we did, or take away. Highly recommended!
Very impressed, the panini was freshly made and the filling was excellent and perfectly seasoned. The owner is a lovely fella and very welcoming, I couldn't recommended it more.

I really enjoyed visiting this place. Everyone I encountered seemed to be enjoying themselves, including the staff! It looks small from the outside, but there's plenty of space to sit and enjoy anything from a really decent coffee to a full meal.
There's a good range to choose from, well prepared and presented. The menu is a blend of traditional and modern, with something for most tastes.
Friendly and clean local.

Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. The portion sizes are very generous and definitely worth the price and it arrived in only 20 minutes!! The pizza is a beautiful blend between the sauce and the cheese and the lasagne melts in your mouth and not to mention the tiramisu which has a very rich and satisfying flavour. My only wish is that they would make smaller pizzas. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone, it is quite frankly a hidden gem in Guisborough and deserves to be more mainstream (I would give it 10 stars if I could). The staff are extremely polite and you can feel the passion of the chefs behind the impeccable quality of the food. I will definitely be back for more! 😃
The best authentic Italian pizza around. Made from scratch to order and can definitely tell the quality of ingredients in the taste! Very friendly and polite.

First order of two pizzas, delivered on time and hot and tasted amazing! Dough delicious, fresh and scrumptious toppings. Took us back to eating pizza in Rome! We will certainly be ordering again!
This place is amazing. Very small and cozy the food is unbelievable. Simon who owns the place is so attentive and you can see him preparing and cooking the food. We had a mixed anti pasta which was beautiful and I asked for carbonara without any meat and nothing seemed like it would be a problem. We will defiantly go again and I'll be taking as many people as I can here to experience such authentic Italian food
I went here for an evening meal on a Saturday night with my partner. The staff were very attentive. We ordered the arancini to start, and the shared tapas platter for our main - as well as a bottle of wine. The quality of food was superb, and the prices more than reasonable. We had the contents of the platter explained to us by a knowledgeable staff, and we'll definitely be back.
We had a takeaway last night, pizza and risotto, it was absolutely beautiful! Freshly made, the man was lovely and I said what I fancied and he made it! It is a lovely place if you want to sit in too. Good prices as well.

First time. Got a pizza and was absolutely amazing. Really top quality. No greasy box. Slight burn on the crust but that's trying to find a problem. Would recommend to anyone. Gonna try the pasta next 👍

Everything is fresh and perfectly cooked. There’s no shortcuts even for simple things like a panini - freshly baked bread is used and quality ingredients. On top of this the atmosphere is brilliant and friendly. Great coffee too!

The best Italian food I have ever tasted, made me think I was in a little side street in Italy when really I was in guisborough. Excellent quality, brilliant service and lovely staff. Flawless
