Had afternoon tea here for three, well the pictures say it all! Wonderful HUGE selection of food! And it tastes amazing! The staff are very accommodating, very friendly and there if you need anything, for example giving you a takeaway box to take some home because you just couldn't finish it all 😉 o

We often go here but there are 2 things that you should be aware of ….. the ‘inside’ cafe part is usually very noisy due to the wooden flooring allowing all the chattering to reverberate around. We travel to the whitby area from Shotley Bridge. Windlebridge Garden Nursery has a lovely gift shop / cafe where you can buy light lunches. It is in a convenient place for us to stop so that we don't arrive at our destination, thirsty and hungry.
