The Olde Queens Head

Came in with a large group of my family for a carvery after a wedding and it was great! For £4.99 you get a good choice of veg + potatoes (the roasties are brill) and several meats! The food came out quick and the staff are super friendly & welcoming. Would deffo recommend to anyone looking for a good local roast :)

Fantastic food with fantastic staff and owners with drinks reasonably priced and and with a function room upstairs its an ideal place for parties definitely the place to be with events on including karaoke, family fun days, live singers or even if you fancy just a quiet one i can honestly say this place is a gem!

We had a family gathering here on 29th December at lunchtime in the upstairs function room. The large room has a bar and is split into 2 sections. The food was served from the carvery downstairs. When I was served, there were no Yorkshire puddings, but plenty vegetables. I suggest a microwave is made available to any large parties eating upstairs as I couldn't be bothered going back down to get my food heated up. 🙃 Certainly good value for money. Again a gathering here for a girls 5th birthday party. A lovely time was had by all. The entertainer(Elsa) was in control of the games etc for 2 hours and decided on the break for food and drinks. Food provided by the pub,perfect for the numbers and time of day. A visit with my brother for a lunchtime carvery. Three meats to choose from and brought to the table from the kitchen. Help yourself to veg and potatoes, good choice and not tough. Excellent value at £2.99 in the week and the drinks aren't overpriced either. Seated before 1pm and not that busy, I did book a table but was advised that this is only necessary on Sundays.
