The Windmill Inn - Halfway House - Photo album

First time visiting here on a sunny, beautiful Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy and has the most amazing beer garden with views! Inside looked nice as well, nice atmosphere and vibe. Service was excellent, very attentive, friendly and prompt. Food was really good, especially the windmill burge
Superb service and food! Upon arrival, the pub seemed busy, the owner welcomed us and very quickly arranged a table for us, even extending it to suit our party size. We had a wheelchair user with us and the owner was very accommodating. He showed us the toilets and advised a ramp could be put down t
Stopped here today for lunch. Beautiful pub, fantastic friendly staff, great food. Highly recommend!
Had a lovely lunch here. The sandwiches and onion rings were delicious. After our meal we went outside to enjoy the views of the surrounding area. Stunning. Will definitely be back.
This truely is a country pub with all the bells and whistles. If you get the chance to eat outside the views are stunning and the food is excellent. Well worth a visit.
Visited at very short notice on a busy Saturday afternoon, the staff were fantastic, friendly and very attentive. They went out of their way to accommodate 9 of us! The food was fantastic and we actually ended up booking for the Sunday dinner too as we were camping nearby. We were able to have the w
Great stop on the way back from Wales in good time to try the Sunday roast. I had the salmon option which was very good and appreciated the fish option. My friend enjoyed their beef classic version very much too. Very friendly service. Cosy atmosphere with logfire. Dogs allowed. Good value for money

One tiny caveat is that I would suggest a proper topping on the apple and plu
We were driving back from Wales looking at somewhere to stop for lunch. We nearly overshot this gem of a pub. Great location, views over the Shropshire countryside. These are not the best bits though, they are the food, staff and atmosphere. All excellent. I had the steak and ale pie. Wonderful. Wil
Had the best Sunday dinner we've had in a very long time, all the staff were so welcoming, and we will definitely be back. It's also worth taking a look out the back. The views of Shropshire are amazing.
