Staying locally for a couple of days and found The Prospect after looking for good pub food. Very nice clean and friendly atmosphere very good food. Great value for money. We visited for a birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The main courses were fantastic, so tasty and the food came quick. My only criticism was the chocolate brownie that came with ice cream was cold when usually its served warm. We will be back
Full quality. Can't fault them at all. Friendly Professional staff and great food. Quiet location with plenty of outdoor space. Plus, dog friendly.

Halifax your lucky to have this lovely pub , amazing food , great atmosphere and brilliant host's and staff. Wonderful views also of the Town , would highly recommend a visit. Please note the pub now has new tenants since the end of April 2023
The service was equally as good as the food. There were 9 of us having a meal for my nieces 19th birthday and it was enjoyed by all. We can’t wait to get together & visit again. We felt very welcome on our first visit.

Went for a birthday meal (14 off us) and had pre ordered the food beforehand. The food was lovely, dont get me wrong about that. This is the beef sunday lunch. We had orders missing and mixed up . Staff was nice, friendly when we got hold of them. Just don't think they are used to big parties.
Dropped in for something to eat because the place we were going to go only opened for food from 5pm . Didn’t have a booking and Lucy made us feel very very welcome. It was an awful day outside , she sat us right by the open fire popped some More logs on and brought our drinks to the table. Brill ser
Had my daughters 21st there. Staff were brilliant went out of their way to make it such an amazing night. The food was excellent and extremely priced. Highly recommended
