First night dinner they ran out of food. For our first breakfast we had to wait nearly 30 minutes. Drink a reasonable price, room very clean. The bathroom could do with a sign to warn about how hot the water is and more non slip dots in the bath and a hand rail in the bath for people to grab onto. The reception and bar staff were very well mannered and nothing was a bother. We will go again

Called in here for Sunday dinner after doing the Shibden Hall walk, compliments to the chef the food was one of the best roasts I've had, the garlic mushrooms are def the best around, we were a group of 7 and everyone was complimenting the food - friendly staff and the regulars were welcoming - would definitely return

We came to this pub on the 17th of March 2022 for Saint Patrick’s Day. It was amazing then and we really enjoyed it. We came back on the 17th of March 2023 again for Saint Patrick’s Day and it has not changed at all. The pub is a good old-fashioned pub, just how it should be, the staff are so helpful, friendly, polite and the service is first class. The singers were amazing and we had a brilliant evening and it is definitely a wonderful place to come to. They served food on the evening and again that was absolutely wonderful. We could not have been happier. The staff here should be so very very proud of themselves as they do an amazing job at keeping excellent beer, especially the Guinness well done everyone. You should be so very proud of yourselves. Please be aware that this pub does have a step within the pub and therefore is not wheelchair accessible. If you like a good old-fashioned pub, please come here and visit it as I am sure you will not be disappointed. I look forward to coming back here again next year.

A brilliant venue. Good choice of drinks and fantastic food offering steak night and Tapas evening on Thursdays and an extensive Sunday lunch menu. Covid guidelines followed to the letter with table bookings, one-way system and table service and a number of antibacterial stations made available for customers. 5 star

What a beautiful buffet you put on for my mother in laws wake and the friendliness and atmosphere was great . You did us proud. I would recommend you to anyone. The staff were so funny and obliging. The owners also went out of their way to make it a perfect day. Thank you once again. Sheila and Chris oh and all our friends and family.
