The Percy Shaw - Halifax - Photo album

The new owners Black Star Pubs have done a great job. The decor is fresh and inviting. The new menu is similar to Wetherspoons as are the prices, although you must buy drinks separate now. The food quality and presentation are far superior to anything Wetherspoons ever provided. The burger was moist
Good experience. Service was ok. Although we used the app we still had to collect a round from the bar. Not a big deal but negates the need for using the app. Food was fine, low chip count as usual. Nothing to rave about, nothing to moan about.
This was a great restaurant to visit, with a well-presented counter! The layout is flashy, staff were friendly and the service was fine. I had a Chicken burgers with chips followed by Raspberry Vodka and a Coors, although the portion was a bit small.
Great food great atmosphere and welcoming even though I was dressed common and sound it too ha haa 😂 I felt comfortable and I don't visit pub's at all. Thanks for having us also it cost 52 quid and fed 5 plus a 4year old bargain okay okay someone else paid for dessert and another for drinks so still
Great pub lovely and clean, food was good, better than the previous Percy shaws, mom rates the coffee so hard she's been telling everyone about it. Good prices too. Lady who served us was very friendly and polite and had a chat which was a nice touch. Good luck for the future.
I only gave one star for food as I never have eaten here but have to add the food coming out looks amazing ... but this is my couple of drinks before food place .... staff are always soo polite and good at there jobs (hope you all get paid decent) ....never ever had a marked or dirty glass always cl
I recently dined at this restaurant and had an outstanding experience. Despite a minor mix-up with my dietary requirement, the staff handled it swiftly and professionally. The food was fantastic , but it was the amazing service that left a lasting impression. Highly recommend! (Written with assistanc
The food was impressive and staff were friendly. Prices are extremely affordable for a pub. I was sceptical when it changed to a new pub from Wetherspoons but I've been pleasantly surprised on 2 occasions now. The chicken burger I had was clearly cooked from scratch with house made batter. It was a
My husband had the steak and Ale pie with mash and gravy and he said he really enjoyed it. I had the chicken tikka massla with chips was delicious, the place seemed quiet so maybe needs more advertising to say its open. Would definitely recommend here.
Warm and comfortable on a cold wet day. Staff were efficient, the food was prompt and exactly what we ordered.
We had breakfast, and later had a late lunch ,you a good view of Halifax and stay as long as you like with free top up of hot drinks .
