Enjoyed the experience, we decided to try a cocktail 🍸, pinickalada. Atmosphere with a D J in the evening was good.
I've been here a few times now. The decor is nice, atmosphere is very welcoming and the guys are extremely friendly. Brilliant place and would recommend to all!
Loved the live 🎶 music, the locals were amiable and welcoming to new people and beer was good. I haven't been able to go for ages so it was a real treat. Atmosphere was awesome 👌.

I was a customer of the Railway many years ago and it was always a bit drab. I was amazed at how it has changed new decor good back ground music and a fantastic draft Peroni Lager. The barman was very chatty and welcoming without being over bearing. I will be taking my wife to show get very soon. A
This is a very well run bar, you feel comfortable as soon as you enter the door, great music, friendly staff, just a lovely little pub.
This place is wonderful, very different from other pubs.
It's like stay in family.
Andrew the owner very kind person and him know very well about cocktails and spirits.
Regarding wines is sommelier.
The people who come here are very nice.Food absolutely Amazing.

Great traditional pub with good selection of beers and gins. We were looked after well with friendly service ensuring we enjoyed our evening. Background music of classics made a great atmosphere. One of the best pubs in Halifax and worth a visit. Five minutes from the train station.
Only popped in for one ..on a stag doo ...but they we're very accommodating

Great place to start your evening if waiting for people to arrive, ideal for Halifax Station, great staff, ideal for piece hall and town. Everyone is made welcome.
Lovely couple of days in Halifax. Always use this pub/hotel and always find the barmen and bar owner friendly. Nice traditional atmosphere with locals chatting but happy to include visitors. Lovely breakfast. Looking forward to my next stay
Considering the chaos in the piece hall and the drunks trying to get in the railway the staff handled it well and we enjoyed our few drinks in there. You did the right thing locking the side door. Hope the D j equipment was OK.
A great bar situated near to the Piece Hall. It has a great outside space and a very quirky interior. Very friendly staff and good prices.
Would give more stars if I could. We have been regulars here for quite a few years. You are always made to feel welcome and food and drink is excellent. The hotel rooms are cosy and of a high standard. In my opinion the best pub in town 😁

This tiny gem is nestled just outside the piece hall and its charm starts with the staff. Music, dancing and all the fancy new gins. Perfect for a starting point or meeting place for conversation on a weekend session
