Hamachi Kita

Went here for supper. Was greeted and sweaty quickly. We had our order taken quickly and water was offered right away. Server was quick and helpful. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, avocado roll and spring roll (note:there were two additional pieces to the spring roll from what’s shown in the picture but I couldn’t help but try it right away) . The food came out quick once we had ordered. Presentation was there and looked appetizing. I enjoyed all part of my meal (honestly wish I had gotten another spicy tuna roll because I enjoyed it that much). I would go here again and highly recommend if you’re looking for your fix of sushi!

Place was very cold inside. We asked if they can turn the heater that was besides us on, but they just said “oh no plug here” After receiving my dish I asked if that meat portion is normal for $20 dish (6 little pcs of beef) which the waitress said “the cook is working here for a while”. I was expecting to receive more than 15 grams of beef for $20. Overall would not recommend.

Was my first time ordered their sushi and was super tasty and delicious! Love their rolls and nigiri sushi, especially their seafood tempura! The salad (came with the combo) was big and tasty, their salad dressing was surprisingly good. Had a pretty good experience with the food, it was a little bit pricey but definitely worth it! Will order again in the future for sure!

Hands down five stars. It has been quite awhile since we came here and I forgot how fantastic the food is. Love the new renovations as well. The new style is much brighter welcoming. Superb tasting, fresh, healthy food prepared to perfection. I have ordered many different dishes here over the years and every one of them is really good. My favourites are the Thai food dishes, but also many of the sushi rolls are exquisite. The soups and noodle bowls are also worth coming for. Today, I had a Vegetable Thai Red Curry noodle bowl and it was much better than I expected. My husband had the Beef Masaman Curry and thought it was one of the best meals he has had in a long time. We would eat here all the time if we could. Great restaurant for the neighborhood.

By far, the best sushi place in HRM! We tried the salmon sushi roll, cali maki roll, shrimp tempura, Bedford roll and the Duterte roll and they were the bomb! Big rolls, huge chunks of ingredients on top, superb sauces, and friendly staff. What more can you ask for? You can eat good food that won’t break your budget!

The food is always delicious at Himachi Kita and the portions are generous. They have a great selection of sushi as well as Thai dishes. The staff are always cheerful and friendly. They have a small but comfortable patio, and the interior is lovely since the renovations. The service is sometimes slow, but the results are worth the wait.
