I'm glad l went in there instead of Costa coffee over the road, nicely cooked and presented food at a very good price and a bit mug of hot coffee that tasted great and while I'm sitting there thinking about how many times I've been to Costa coffee and received half a cup of Luke warm chicory tasting
We always enjoy this style of cafe for breakfast. Before arriving in Halstead we knew this was the cafe we wanted to go The menu has a selection of set breakfasts providing alternative items, also loads to chose from for lunches. On arrival sat down and had our drink order taken at the table by a f
nice food, was out within less than 10 mins of ordering and was steaming hot, amazing value for money, was tended to by the lovely servers very fast!
Decent English breakfast, nothing spectacular, you get what you expect. I deducted a star for serving the wrong type of toast and not enough tissues on the table. Eggs were a bit rubbery, tea was served with milk without asking for our preference. Apart from this all seemed to be in order.
Great place. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Great honest food. Great prices. Great portions. A proper, traditional, English Cafe. Not fancy, but gives you exactly what it says on the packet. Love it. Good job! What is not to like about this place?
Met up with our Children for Mothers day, but all the pubs were full which we now know was good. We found the Halstead cafe which had one table left (so they pulled up an extra chair as there were 5 of us and we had a good welcome. Truly the food was wonderful, as was the warm and friendl
Love this place. Been going there with my mum for almost 16 years. Parking available at the co-op just over the road. Friendly staff. Toilet on site. Would recommend!
Lovely coffee, nice bacon sarnie and tea cake, great value for money..will go back again
Had a really nice meal here today ad a family. Had a short wait for a table but nothing unexpected. Our server seemed a bit young and inexperienced and got confused taking an order for 5 people. That being said, we've all had to start somewhere. I rate a food serving establishment on hot fresh food

The Halstead Cafe serves well prepared quality food at very reasonable prices. My favourite is the mushroom omelette the ones I have had always have plenty of mushrooms. The staff and service have been excellent every time I have visited this nice cafe. Halstead Cafe also have a 5 star food hygie
Great breakfast friendly staff, reasonable prices, gets busy but worth the visit.
Fabulous little cafe, the best in Halstead. Thank you so much for going all out for your customers (even to the point of returning left behind blankets back home to a very appreciative little boy!) You won't be disappointed if you pay this place a visit.
Exactly what I expected, proper good old fashioned cafe, very clean, good food, nice people.
Cannot fault Halstead Cafe. We order every weekend and delivery is always super fast. The owner and staff are very polite and have never made a mistake with our order. Food is always hot on delivery. Would recommend to anyone without a doubt.
Halstead Cafe is located in the town centre between W.H Smiths and Sainsbury's. It is on the ground floor and has 4 seat tables which are well spaced so you don't feel like you're sitting too close to someone else, this could be due to Covid spacing or just how the layout is. The menu is mainly brea
Well I was in there having brunch needless to say that it was fantastic and very tasty, they where having fresh products delivered and it's on a daily basis. Staff very friendly and helpful and they have a lovely outdoors area where you can sit and eat in the shade.
