What an excellent lunch at this marvellous cafe. Hit it at rush hour so went for a walk around the adjacent church yard as my avocado and hummus wrap was being prepared. Stayed long enough for the rhubarb sponge cake to make an appearance - not to be missed! All washed down with a flat white. More about the local free range eggs on sale at a later date.

We decided in advance to stop here on our trip from Northumberland to Pembrokeshire because of the excellent reviews (especially the reference to being dog friendly). I'm delighted to report the cafe is everything mentioned previously and more The food is excellent and service fantastic- friendly helpful and courteous We sat in the beautiful rear garden We will now always call in here when passing through the area - only 3mins from M6 junction

Amazing place. Called in for breakfast and it was one of the best full English breakfasts we've ever had. Loose tea was delicious and the food was extremely tasty and spot on. Staff were lovely too. Highly recommended. 10 out of ten

Had a lovely Father’s Day breakfast last Sunday. They were very accommodating by moving table together outside so we could sit all together. Friendly polite staff and great food . We weren’t rushed at all and even stayed for another drink after our breakfast. Highly recommended!

Such a privilege, and a very real danger, to have this hidden gem on my doorstep. Food is fantastic and Elaine's mouth watering cakes are a complete joy. Well worth a short hop off the M6 if you're in the area.

Sat outside and it was lovely and relaxing listening to the little stream. Had brunch and the food was great and tasty. Also managed a freshly made Victoria sponge, was delicious.

Lovely food we had a full breakfast. My first time, my friend has been there before. The staff are great and served us with a smile. The cafe is well decorated and quaint with a log fire 🔥 I will be going again and have already started recommending this place to my family and friends.

What a find!! We've driven past dozens of times but have never called in...until today!! A lovely café, very welcoming with attentive service and two log burners!! 🔥🔥. We had an excellent bacon and egg sandwich and crumpet breakfast with orange and almond cake to follow. Well worth a visit, highly recommended!!

Frequent visitor of many quality cafés/pubs/restaurants and the Red Door Cafe, Halton is up there with the best; offering great: ambiance, staff, food & beverages in a very warm and cosy setting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to all my friends & family.

We went for breakfast twice at the end of March. My husband forgot the gloves in their toilet and we came back for tea and cake later and he was reunited with his precious gloves. Breakfast was hearty and home made and we were very contented. I also enjoyed the homemade scorn. We loved the traditional decor and look forward to returning to their cafe again in the future.

Hadn't realised the old pub has been reinvented until Google suggested it for Sunday food. Staff very welcoming & accomodating. Sunday menu is the breakfast menu all day and we each picked different. Prompt service, nice coffee and the food was fantastic. Seating inside & out.

Was taken out for birthday lunch by friends. They had been busy but accommodated us. The Red Door Gin was amazing. The coffee and walnut cake was luscious. The Tuna sandwich was tasty altho the salad and coleslaw was a tad unappetising which was a shame and the portion was a little small but nice. Will visit again. 😊

Stopped off on our way up to the Lakes. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with freshly cooked local produce and excellent coffee. The staff were very friendly too and brought some games across to our table for our children to play with.
