We had a meal in the Villa Hotel and it was beautiful. 8 of us there and no complaints from anyone. The service was first class and staff were friendly and helpful . Would highly recommend this place
I stay at this hotel when I am working up in Scotland the owners are very accommodating and the food is excellent (especially the curries).
The rooms are small yet very comfortable,I would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant to people.

Thanks so much to Nidal & his amazing competent staff organised perfectly by Douglas who made my nana's 70th birthday gathering amazing! The food was exceptional & plentiful, complimented by over 60 guests.
Absolutely Fantastic, ending the weekend with an outstanding Sunday Roast at Colonel Mustard in the Courthouse, currently washing it down with a glass of the finest on the roof terrace
Stayed because I couldn't stay at the Kings Park hotel where I normally stay when I visit a very dear friend at Rutherglen care home. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating , the room was small but adequate for a 1 night stay. Food in the restaraunt was good apart from the sweet which was described as apple and pear crumble but came looking like stewed fruit, nothing crumbly about it, obviously, freezer, microwave, table. And then charged for its replacement, not experienced that before but hey ho, I would stay here again and the choice of whiskey must be seen to be believed, hundreds of different types
I would recommend the villa hotel the food , service are excellent everyone is so friendly nothing is a bother for them Nadil and staff make you so welcome thanks for making our visits special
Our favourite place to eat. South Indian garlic chilli chicken is best I've tasted, Chicken Milanese is another fav. Great food and excellent service. Huge selection of whisky too!
What a lovely experience. Food is fantastic and there certainly is enough. I ordered the Scotch burger and it was too much for me. My wife ordered the chicken and thought it was divine. Service of a very high standard and yet there is no sense of being intrusive. A warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere. Loved our evening out and would recommend the Villa highly.
This is our third visit and value for money on the set menu is very good. What we liked best were the cocktails and the really professional waiter.
The hotel staff cannot do enough for you and are so friendly. Ordered the chicken, garlic chicken for lunch one of the tastiest Indian curries I have had in years!
Just been for lunch food was lovely and fresh service was fantastic staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful will definitely be back!
Rooms look a little dated, small tv and only a continental breakfast available, however facilities are as expected, TV does have Netflix compatibility, comfortable bed and the owners are lovely.
Will use again on future visits to the area.
What can I say more? This place is really worth a visit, just for the Sticky Toffee alone! The owner is really welcoming, he even knows you by name the next morning!
Food was great, service was great, he loves to spend some time for a chat and, does all the cooking himself.
If you're staying for the night, you'll have a really nice stay, don't nag about the little things in your room, it's all there, especially for what you've paid.
Parking is free and ample, so no worries there.
Would come again, any day in the year!

First night in for dinner last night! Me & my partner loved it! Staff was so friendly & welcoming even offered too help take pics of me & my partner together! Food was amazing!!! Tasted delicious & never had too wait long for it! Will 100% be back
Nice food and it's served quickly, staff are very polite. Quiet when we arrived around 4pm but started to get busier an hour or so in. Was a nice sunny day so a few folk were out sitting in the beer garden which looked lovely too. First time visiting the place so, overall a good first time experience!
Lovely place and very welcoming. Room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was great. Nidal is a charming host. Highly recommended.
This hotel may not be for everyone but it was exactly what we were looking for.
It's a family run business with a very homey feel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The food was amazing burgers handmade on premises. I was particularly impressed by their vegan menu.
Rooms are clean, tidy and beds comfortable.
Note: The doors get locked at midnight. This gave us piece of mind and made us feel secure.
Located within walking distance of train station, shops and Douglas View Care Home.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Anne, Douglas and Nidal for giving us a warm welcome. Looking forward to our next stay.

My friend and I went to The Villa Hotel tell for dinner one evening. I have to say I didn't think much of it. Inside seemed like and average bar that served food, the prices where good so we thought why not eat and both my friend and I where glad we did. We both agreed that it was the best Indian curry we had ever had, will definitely be back to see what else is good .

We have been a family regular for a few years now ( 6 years) and never been disappointed. Service from Nidal and Douglas has been excellant. Food is above our expectations. everytime and never had issue. They always look after you. Whiskey (whisky) selection is amazing!
I stayed at a double room for 2 nights, it was a little pricey however, the place is lovely and the room had all the essentials.
The only drawback is the noisy room doors.

The only ting that would put this hotel in the low cost bracket is the price.
You get everything you expect from a room, space, warmth, powerful shower, TV, comfy bed ect but thats not the best bit.
The staff are extremely inviting, chatty and friendly. The bar staff know there products and hold intelligent conversation. The whiskey collection is extremely impressive and they serve a fantastic locally brewed lager thats unique to the area.
But the best bit was the food - me and my friend were arriving late so called ahead to see what time the kitchen closed - the bartender asked the kitchen to prepare us a meal as we would arrive after the kitchen had closed. They offer an Indian tapas menu but the portions are not small. Its a diverse home cooked menu of various flavours with tasty additions. The Scottish lady who owns the hotel with her Palestinian husband makes a fantastic full cooked Scottish breakfast for my meat eating friend and veggie option for myself.
I would definitely stay again.
Friendly hosts. Rooms clean. No cooked breakfast. Continental breakfast but lots of it. Cannot recommend highly enough.
The setting is an Oasis in the desert. Food was lovely which reflects the owners selections. There's a Whisky Club for the connoisseurs. It's a nice place for meal a drink or both. Take with you the one you love.
Unexpectedly great place. The food was really good and the staff were attentive. Prices weren't the cheapest but no complaints.
Very good food with a decent menu to choose from. Prices were not too bad and I'd go again. They have a vast selection of whisky to choose from, so much so it has its own menu!
Lovely gentleman took our order and was nice and chatty. Food really tasty and price was very reasonable.
