Skrimp Shack

This place was absolutely amazing! I sometimes lower my expectations when I am on vacation as far as food is concerned. You are trying places with which you are not familiar, and this can lead to disappointing food. The fried fish here is better than anything I can get around home! Rarely, do I leave a restaurant on vacation and wish I had one at home, but this is the EXCEPTION to the rule. The portions are extremely generous, and the sweet tea is the best I have had away from home. They actually brew the tea. Also, save room for the banana pudding. It is also really good! The staff are also really froendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good about this place! Go give it a try, and you will not go away disappointed.

The chicken sandwiches are amazing and so are the sweet potato fries. But being able to see all of the kitchen and all of its disarray was almost enough to make me cancel my order. I remember in the food industry hair had to be pulled back and covered. Finger nails needed to be neat and short.... Theses days I guess it doesn't matter. The girls nails were super not food industry appropriate. And cleanliness was so so. Thank God the food and portions were amazing.

Fast service, delicious food! We had a spicy shrimp Po’boy and catfish tacos with lettuce and spicy sauce. The Po’boy, crammed with lightly breaded medium shrimp packed thick on a freshly baked sub-roll. Tacos were tasty too and the new potato salad was ice cold and tangy! We traveled far and it was worth the trip!

Went to order something from my grandma and I. Ive been there once before to order the Mahi Mahi basket. Was disappointed it was not seasoned, just the fried fish. When I ordered the whiting basket, I was hoping it was just a bad day before but no. It was still under seasoned fish. We tried calling the place because we ordered sweet potatoe fries but didnt get them they basically ignored us on the phone and then anytime after we tried calling that evening, it was "busy". This was on 4/22 I'll definitely not be returning. Has potential because the fry was fresh just.. not good and rude service. Would rather go to the little Asian lady and know I'll get exactly what I wanted and more for the same price.

Wowowow! First impression counts, and let me tell you Skrimp Shack knocked it out of the park! My husband and I went there Wednesday night and upon pulling up in the little shopping center, we saw that there was a line. I mean, that's always good news, right? Lines mean good food! The restaurant is very very very bright and clean. I love their menu board, and the little posters and little sayings hanging on the wall. They were funny and really brought the decoration together. The service was very quick, and even though there were quiet a few people in front of us who ordered we were out of there between 10-15 minutes. During my time there, I saw the servers cleaning and making sure that the self serve soda section was clean and well stocked with essentials. Our order was one crabmeat and skrimp po' boy, fat flounder sandwich, and sweet potato fries. When the bill came up, I was a little shocked because I found it a bit pricey. Going home though, and seeing the sandwiches the prices and warranted! The po' boy was STACKED. I mean shrimp on shrimp on fat shrimp with chunks of crabmeat. You can tell that it's actually shrimp instead of those frozen things you get that's overly breaded. The sandwich on the other hand was just bursting with fish. It did get a bit messy though so I'm glad I got to eat it in the privacy of my own because I went to TOWN. The sweet potato fries were also so so so tasty. So much that they didn't even make it home and my husband snacked on them on the way home. A+++++ Skrimp Shack! You have loyal customers in us!
