If you find yourself traveling U.S. Route 278, which runs from Arkansas to Hilton Head, consider picking up some mighty fine fried chicken at Rigdon's en route to your destination that day. Fried chicken travels well.
We stopped by 10 minutes before closing on a Saturday afternoon, the chicken offerings were limited but still served up hot and fresh with a smile.
Bottom line: We think this is some of the best fried chicken we've ever had anywhere.
A few quick things:
• Fast and friendly
• Take-out only
• Open until 3 PM Saturdays
• Closed Sundays
• Off the main road, behind McDonalds
• Credit cards accepted
Update, May 2021: Rigdon's sells more than fried chicken and they say their hamburgers are made with fresh, handmade patties. We noticed on our visit today that you can order ahead via their website.

I called in a order 25 minutes away and was told they can't do the hot wings for me but they can do the rest of my order.. I can't understand why they couldn't do what was on the menu and she didn't even explain why..

Good tasting southern fried fish... on my way down south for the holiday, family, food, and fun. I took the long way home, just to stop by there . A little place with a big taste 😋... peace.
