Surin Thai

Food delivered late although I’m only a street or two away, cold, bad to no flavours at all, even the sauce for the entrees was basic sweet chilli out of a bottle. The salad didn’t even fill the container and the pad sew had no flavour at all. Bad bad bad. Won’t order from here very disappointing as a local who would love to have a good regular place, and especially for how high it was price down it was terrible.

I was really disappointed. I had been coming to the restaurant to get the chicken massamun curry as it had become a favourite of mine and my husband. They used to really make the dish with love. I got a chicken massamun after not eating there for a few months a couple of days ago and it was like a watery version of the usual curry I had previously had but zero complexity or taste layers, nothing like the usual, beautiful curry, the potatoes were raw and I knew it wasn't cooked properly but my husband and I both still ate it because we were hungry. Now we both have the runs for the last day or so, we are very disappointed with this. One of our favourite meals, we can no longer enjoy Not happy Surin Thai..

Over rated! It was better when it was Hampton Thai as it was a more reliable and consistent back then. Ordered a simple thai fried rice and it was literally rice cooker rice with a bit of chicken and a bit of green leaf veg. No onion, no carrot, 1 piece of tomato... Very disappointing and not what your menu outlined.

This used to be the best thai take-away in all of Melbourne, the tastes were so flavoursome and reminiscence of eating in thailand itself!..... However I noticed the name had changed from Hampton Thai to Surin Thai as of late 2016... ordered take-away one night and to my suprise, the old crew were gone and it is now run by a non thai bunch that decided to buy over the business. The food was a disgrace, watered down versions of the original recipes and did not taste 1 bit original, only thing eatable was the plain rice!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
