Stayed one night on business and am really impressed. Staff lovely, exceptional food. I had a single room which was clean, had everything in it I needed, including complimentary toiletries. As a frequent business traveller you can't do better than this place.
We stayed for one-night. Girls in the bar were really friendly and we had a drink before going out for food. They had 0% lager which was fab for my husband. Full English breakfast the next morning was really good and well cooked.
Wouldn't hesitate in visiting again.
We only popped in during the lunchtime, but found the venue (A free house) to be vibrant and comfortable. Really lovely pub. Great selection of local ales and ciders. Countryside view with ample of parking. Footpaths backing onto the car park so it's a great place to stop for walks and drinks. Rooms available to rent out for exclusive hire.
Pleased they could squeeze us in on a Sunday as this place does the most wonderful roast beef ever - it was delicious and beautifully presented. What a great find in a lovely location. There was a good vibe in there too and all the staff were super attentive.
I met the owner Darren who took time out to show me around the pub and the work that had been carried out. He was very proud of his and his team's work. The Vernon had a very welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff, the manager Aggy made sure we had everything we needed and was very apologetic
