The place where we were supposed to be staying was having a right panic with staff shortages, so we shot off and found this wonderful Italian restaurant attached to a nice old boozer. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent and if we find anywhere better during our long weekend away, I will be absolutely stunned. It's a bit of a long step from Bath, but I would love to return. Utterly recommended.

Amazing food and very friendly atmosphere. Truly authentic italian food mostly cooked using homegrown ingredients. As italians we are very picky when choosing an italian restaurant but La Pergola is the only place we regularly visit and never feel disappointed with. Domenico and Rosa are always making us feel home and we feel part of their big family, not just customers. Not only great food but a truly italian experience! Highly reccomended! Pizza is great too!!!

Amazing traditional Italian food, just like my mum and dad's cooking . Delicious starters, pasta and pizza dishes. I could eat here every night. not too impressed with main meat dish and desert . Although you can't go wrong with a Lemon Sorbet. Now that was tasty. Situated on a secluded main road , in beautiful premises . A bit pricey but worth every penny . Courteous staff; very attentive and efficient.

Great meal and nice atmosphere for a Wednesday night. Not too busy, but not deathly quiet either. Really great authentic food and house white wine was very nice too. Had Classico calzone and tiramisu. Very nice . Friends had pizza florentine and were pretty pleased too. Not rushed out at the end of the meal either. All in all, a great evening. Thank you to the lovely staff.

This is a real traditional Italian restaurant, serving traditional Italian cooking. The pasta melts in your mouth and the food is served fresh and hot. It really is becoming one of my favourite restaurants and worth the 25 minute drive.

By far, the best Italian food I have had in UK. And the people working there are truly wonderful. I had my wedding reception there and it was such an amazing evening. Five stars.

A really relaxed place for a lunch/dinner out in the countryside, can be a really convenient stop after a visit to Wimpole estate. We were a party of 4 and a 2 year old. We were well looked after and I really liked the atmosphere on a Sunday noon. Our dishes was a bit uneven in how we enjoyed them overall, but some really stood out for the better like the tiramisu and the gnocchi.

The food was good, had all the right flavours, however lacked the fresh authentic punch. But nevertheless a nice place to dine with the family and little ones. The service was slow, however the waiters looked after us well.

Great food & service! 😊 I’ve come here on several occasions through the years & it’s always maintained a great quality. The pizzas are great & I see many people ordering pizzas, but you should try the pasta and starters as well because everything is great 😋 On Sundays, you have to order 2 courses at least for lunch. But if you are too full, you can get the dessert to go. The tiramisu is an excellent option for that 😋

Very very very good food. Definitely recommend taking your family and friends here. Not cheap fast food but genuine and honest. Very popular so book a table in advance. Also have an Aperol spritzer for the true authenticity. Many compliments to Raphaela, who is an excellent waiter.

Sometimes delicious but a bit inconsistent. Early dinner on a Saturday, so quiet to begin but soon became very busy. The atmosphere capturing the authentic Italian experience, though the packed space and abrupt service may be a little too much for some. The pizza was excellent. Would highly recommend and, if returning, would get it again. However, the carbonara was too far on the raw and crunchy side of al dente, and the tiramisu was lacking in flavour. Pricing on par for a Cambridge restaurant.

Visited here with friends for a lunchtime meal. All the food was really good, with four clean plates !! Great friendly efficient service. Only marked down 1 start due to the noise level, but not something they can control.

Lovely restaurant. Food was great and the staff very nice. We went on a Sunday for lunch, was very busy and quite loud. But other than that really enjoyed.

Visited twice in the last month. Fabulous home made food, great service. Tiramisu is delicious. Reminded me of restaurants I’ve visited in Tuscany. Looking forward to sampling more of the menu! Highly recommended.

Fantastic food! We had pizza and desserts - all absolutely amazing! Beautiful flavours - so if you love Italian food, you will love this place. The restaurant is very busy and can be loud so perhaps lacking in cosy and ambiante seating.
