First time here, but have been to their st Albans branch on a few occasions.
Both are just great. The food, service and ambience is all extremely high. Menus are the same at both - so im rapidly running out of options to try new dishes, but that's a good thing. Well done guys,
Highly recommended
What a lovely evening we had at Tabure, Harpenden. Every dish we had was simply exceptional. Well crafted dishes that had fusion flavours as promised. Service was very attentive as well. Would highly, highly recommend!
Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and the staff were all very attentive. Definitely plan on coming back! And Swinging Sultan is just delicious! Super refreshing!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary there, which was a good choice. The interior decor was decent, with nice Turkish music which was not too noisy; yet the atmosphere was casual and welcome for families and children. Food was mostly tasty, especially the sauté mushrooms which was very rich and complicated, quite an exotic dish. And when we ordered meat, they really gave the exact level of medium and medium well steak and lamb without overcooking. Worth coming back again.
Was craving tasty food and Tabure hit the spot. Delicious, authentic food full of flavour and colour. Sat at the bar which overlooks the kitchen area, fascinating to see the ingredients being prepared and cooked. Staff are very attentive and happy to answer any questions. They suggest 2 or 3 dishes per person which is just perfect for dinner. Book ahead as this new addition to Harpenden is very popular. Can't wait to go back
We reserved a table for twelve on the set menu. Unfortunately the restaurant realised the day before that they had recorded the wrong date (I’m still not sure whose error this was). The fabulous team at Tabure leaped into action rearranged their bookings and got our whole group at a lovely table. Amazing service and gorgeous food
Stunning little spot for dinner, cosy and warm on those cold winter nights, the food was delicious and despite the size of the restaurant ot didn't feel cramped. In fact it gave a more intimate experience, the staff were friendly and helpful albeit a little disorganised with the drinks, but couldn't fault the service with the food.
Great place to eat. Lovely flavours and very nice friendly service. Thank you
Pronounced 'Tab- bure- ray'. 'A' for effort with regards to the new extension/refurb. Really like the look of the interior! There's a good number of tables. The ambience was lovely. The staff were wonderful, attentive but not overbearing. The food was presented beautifully. Just be aware these are more tapas style dishes so I would recommend about 2/3 dishes pp. Taste wise, the hummus was nice but i couldn't taste or smell any truffle oil. The butternut squash was lovely as was the cod. The beef kofte was too intense for me... just too much mint/herbs/salt/spice. The meat itself was nicely done though. I also ordered the rice with vermicelli noodles...the noodles were so hard with the rice, they were abit hard to chew. Am sure I've had it before when it was Tahini and it was a lot better...maybe this was a one off. Would I be back? Yes, but not in a rush- I like this place more for the aesthetics than the food itself.
A great new addition to the dining scene of Harpenden. Great traditional dishes with a cocktail bar and a nice wine selection of European and Turkish wines.
The staff is very accommodating in explaining all entrees and main courses.
A delight of the senses. Great tastes and smells of Turkish food choices.
Although a bussiness dinner for me, also a great location for a date/romantic dinner.
Staff is wonderful and in great control of the dining room.
Will come back although I am not local.
Excellent Modern Turkish restaurant with a warm/friendly atmosphere. We ordered a variety of dishes as suggested ,all were delicious with so many different flavours. The Keskek(Barley risotto) with organic pulled lamb was my personal favourite. We will be back.
Excellent food, very nice cocktail and professional staff
It was a random visit due to rainy evening, but it was some kind of discovery. Yes, it was more expensive as we usually pay in such places, but it was definitely worth it - quality of the food is pretty nice and the service is pretty good as well. Also they have our favourite turkish coffee.
Went in for lunch. Good food and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
First time in a tapas style turkish restaurant. This is a chain, we went to the Harpenden one and tried a wide range of dishes from lamb liver and pulled lamb, warm potato salad and roasted butternut squash to the delicious prawns and sea bream in vine leaves, chicken wings. The dips and pitta were tasty too, everything had a twist on a traditional dish. 2-3 dishes are usually enough per person but we went all out and tried 4 each, and we were not disappointed. Would definitely eat here again.
On a Sunday afternoon I was looking for halal diner in Harpenden whilst I dropped my daughter off to her friends birthday party at Roundwood Primary School. When I enquired if the meat/chicken was halal/kosher, she was totally honest and said No. I know from past experience, honesty and integrity is compromised in the food business so I opted for a quick vegan option and chose the halumi and bread! Absolutely amazing taste and will be back for a proper sit down, God willing. ❤️
