Excellent pub. We were there nearly 4 hours. Food was gorgeous, excellent value. The boys enjoyed the beer & the girls who were drinking loved the wine. A very friendly atmosphere. Staff really friendly & attentive. Would highly recommend it if you are in Harrogate & want a real pub.

We came here for the Sunday roast chicken that was great!
Great food, good service,spent a few hours there one day.We had Sunday lunch and a couple of bottles of wine. slight issue with bill, but quickly and professionally dealt with, would definitely visit again.
Very nice decor, friendly staff, good range of ales and an amazing sharing ploughman’s lunch. Of course this was only possible for to experience because they are dog friendly.
We called in here for Sunday lunch, and it was outstanding. Its a while since I had a roast that good, ten out of ten.
If you are in Harrogate and fancy a bite, call in here it doesn't dissapoint.
Can't comment on taste, but they did also have a veggie option, which is good for the strange folk that don't do meat.
Really great pub, how pubs should be. Buzzing with people from all ages. At least 6 real ales on hand pump, maybe more. Lots of wood in this old pub but not dated at all. They won pub of the year and that's not surprising. The very friendly landlady and barman were very industrious. Quick service with a smile and every spare moment running round and clearing tables and collecting glasses. Never stopped but were smiling and laughing the whole time. Never tried the food but going in tomorrow to try it. Our favourite pub in Harrogate. Update. Tried the sausage n mash. Spot on, possibly the best I've had. Wife was impressed as well.
some very impressive burgers, not dripping in fat/juice like most places and went down a treat! they are very dog friendly so will be popping back!
First time here on Sunday and it will not be our last! The BEST Sunday roast I’ve ever had, service was absolutely impeccable and the interior is beautiful & clean. See you again soon!
Was just nearby and decided to go for a roast. Turned out to be one of the best roasts we've ever had. Every individual element was beautiful from the meat to the cabbage. Service a little slow with the odd thing we asked for forgotten about but otherwise lovely staff and would definitely return to this gem.

Traditional pub serving excellent craft ales and lovely food. Try the Sunday roast - 8its excellent value at £11 and the the roast beef is beautifully rare
